List of Redirection Moves

Move Type Effect
Ally Switch Pokemon Psychic Image The user teleports and switches places with one of its allies.
Follow Me Pokemon Normal Image The user draws attention to itself, making all targets take aim only at the user
Rage Powder Pokemon Bug Image The user scatters a cloud of irritating powder to draw attention to itself. Opponents aim only at the user.

What are Redirection Moves

Redirection Moves are moves exclusive to Doubles Battles and can control the battle to your favor by redirecting moves to a different Pokemon to help defend frailer ones.

These moves have no effect in the Singles Battle Format.

Redirection Moves Mechanics

Move Effect in Doubles
Follow Me Redirects all single-target attacks to the user.
This move's redirection goes before passive redirection such as Storm Drain and Lightning Rod.
Rage Powder Redirects all single-target attacks to the user.
This move's redirection goes before passive redirection such as Storm Drain and Lightning Rod.
Ally Switch The user switches places with its ally.

Grass-types are Immune to Rage Powder

Grass-type Pokemon have a unique immunity to powder-type moves. As a result, Grass-types are immune to the redirection effect of the move Rage Powder.

Abilities that Ignore Redirection

Abilties Effect
Stalwart Ignores redirecting moves and Abilities, letting the user target any Pokemon on the field.
Propeller Tail Ignores redirecting moves and Abilities, letting the user target any Pokemon on the field.
Overcoat Protects the user against Powder Moves, nullifying the effects of Rage Powder.
