List of One-Hit Knockout Moves

Moves Type Effect
Fissure Pokemon Ground Image The user opens up a fissure in the ground and drops the target in. The target faints instantly if this attack hits.
Guillotine Pokemon Normal Image A vicious, tearing attack with big pincers. The target faints instantly if this attack hits.
Horn Drill Pokemon Normal Image The user stabs the target with a horn that rotates like a drill. The target faints instantly if this attack hts.
Sheer Cold Pokemon Ice Image The target faints instantly. It's less likely to hit the target if it's used by Pokemon other than Ice types.

What are One-Hit Knockout Moves

One-hit knockout moves are guaranteed to cause the target to faint regardless of how much HP, Defense, and Special Defense stat them have.

These moves have low accuracy compared to other moves. Additionally, these moves do not work on higher leveled Pokemon to balance it out.

Counters to One-Hit Knockout Moves

Abilities

Ability Description
Disguise Once per battle, the shroud that covers the Pokémon can protect it from an attack.
Sturdy It cannot be knocked out with one hit.
Wonder Guard Only supereffective moves will hit.

Items

Item Effect
Focus Band ImageFocus Band An item to be held by a Pokémon. The holder may endure a potential KO attack, leaving it with just 1 HP.
Focus Sash ImageFocus Sash An item to be held by a Pokemon. If the holder has full HP, it will endure a potential KO attack with 1 HP. The item then disappears.
