Multi-hit moves are moves that strike an enemy multiple time in the same turn. Usually these moves hit the enemy two to five times, but some have a set number of times they hit.
These moves have different effects depending on factors such as moves, items, and abilities.
If the first few hits breaks an opposing substitute, the subsequent moves will deal direct damage to the target.
Items like Focus Sash and Focus Band's effect will activate after the first hit that lowers the target's health to zero. However, the subsequent move will cause it to faint. Focus Band can still activate repeatedly to prevent fainting.
The ability Sturdy works similarly to Focus Sash.

Justified | Raises Attack when hit by a Dark-type move. |
Skill Link | Increases the frequency of multi-strike moves. |
Stamina | Raises Defense when attacked. |
Weak Armor | Physical attacks lower Defense and raise Speed. |
