Focus Energy Competitive Analysis

Focus Energy is a status move that raises the user's chances to land a Critical-Hit. This move is useful when paired with moves that naturally have high-critical ratios such as Razor Leaf and Cross Chop.

However, we recommend picking a different move instead. Using your Pokemon's strong STAB move is always a better option as critical strikes aren't that valuable. Additionally, items like Razor Claw provide similar effects without wasting a turn to set up.
