Destiny Knot is a Training Item in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Isle of Armor, and the Crown Tundra DLC that is used in breeding competitive Pokemon. Read on to learn more about this item's effects and how to get it.

Effect An item to be held by a Pokemon. If the holder becomes infatuated, the opposing Pokemon will be, Too.
If a Pokemon in the Day Care center holds this, 5 of its IVs are passed to its offspring.

How to Use Destiny Knot

Give It to Pokemon When Breeding

When a Pokemon holding Destiny Knot lays an egg, five of its twelve IVs will be passed down to the child Pokemon.

Make a Pokemon hold Destiny Knot when you leave it in the Daycare Center.

The Effect of Destiny Knot Does Not Stack!

Even if you have two parent Pokemon both holding Destiny Knot, the effect will not overlap. The child Pokemon will still receive only five IVs from the parents.
