Competitive Analysis

Reflect is a core move for screen setters. This makes the user's side of the field take less damage from physical attacks for five turns.

Reflect and Screen Setters

Reflect is used with Light Screen as a means to improve a team's durability against physical and special attacks respectively. These screens are set up early in a battle so it can protect Pokemon as early as possible.

Screen setters can hold Light Clay to extend the sceens for up to eight turns.

Screen Counters

Reflect can be destroyed by using Brick Break, Psychic Fangs, Defog or Haze.

Pokemon with the Infiltrator Ability will ignore Reflect when they use physical moves.
