Competitive Analysis

Light Screen is a core move for screen setters. This makes the user's side of the field take less damage from special attacks for five turns.

Light Screen and Screen Setters

Light Screen is used with Reflect as a means to improve a team's durability against special and physical attacks respectively. These screens are set up early in a battle so it can protect Pokemon as early as possible.

Screen setters can hold Light Clay to extend the sceens for up to eight turns.

Screen Counters

Light Screen can be destroyed by using Brick Break, Psychic Fangs, Defog or Haze.

Pokemon with the Infiltrator Ability will ignore Reflect when they use special moves.
