Competitive Analysis

Leer is a status Normal-type move that lowers the Defense stat of the target.

This move may only see use in early parts of a story playthrough, as there are better moves to use to weaken your opponent's Defense.

Screech will harshly lower the Defense stat of the target, which is very useful against bulky Pokemon. Tickle can be used on bulky attackers as it lowers both Attack and Defense.

Leer Locations

Leer is only available by Default, Level Up, or via Egg Move.
