Equip the Vintage Lyre

The Trials of the Phantasmal Gate can only be started using the Vintage Lyre. After receiving the lyre from Amadhiah during The World of Aranara Quest, open your inventory and equip the item. You can find it under the Gadgets tab.

Play the Lyre to the Phantasmal Arch

Stand next to the Phantasmal Arch and use the Vintage Lyre gadget. You must play the notes correctly by pressing the corresponding buttons at the bottom of your screen. The buttons that you will need to press will be highlighted for you as well.

Collect the Phantasmal Seeds

After playing the rhythm successfully, pass through the arch to start the Trial of the Phantasmal Gate. For this trial, you'll have to collect Phantasmal Seeds within the marked area on your map and return them to the Phantasmal Arch within the time limit.

Completing each challenge will reward you with a Precious Chest.

There are a total of 12 Phantasmal Arches in Sumeru. Most of the arches can be easily found by heading to the points marked on the map, but some of them are found underground and will require you to find a hidden entrance near the spot before you can reach them.

The Trial of the Phantasmal Gate is a puzzle feature in Sumeru where you interact with Phantasmal Arches using the Vintage Lyre and collect Phantasmal Seeds. Players will need to collect all the seeds in the marked area and return them to the arch within the time limit to obtain the reward.

Obtain a Precious Chest as reward

Each Phantasmal Arch will reward you with a Precious Chest, containing 10 Primogems and other valuable items, after completing its trial.
