Ruin Drake Attack Patterns

Energy Torrent Attack

Genshin - Ruin Drake Attack Pattern - Energy Torrent
Both Ruin Drakes can periodically release a torrent of energy that deal AoE damage.

Elemental Resistance Based on Damage Taken

Genshin - Ruin Drake Attack Pattern - Elemental Resistance
The Ruin Drake: Earthguard and Skywatch gain Elemental Resistance based on the previous main Elemental DMG that they receive, and can even infuse the element into their Energy Torrent Attack!

Infused Elemental Energy Torrent

When absorbing an element from the previous Elemental DMG it receives, both Ruin Drakes have a chance to attack with Energy Torrents affected by the element.

Ruin Drake Weak Spots

To temporarily bring down the Ruin Drake, hit the weak spot at the center of its body when it's exposed. You can also aim for the head when it's glowing and charging up!

Earthguard - Rushing Attack

The Ruin Drake: Earthguard will rush at the character and attempt to headbutt or hit with its tail, which is easily avoided by dashing at the last second or generally keeping your distance.

Skywatch - Aimed Missiles

The Ruin Drake: Skywatch will paint a target on the player and attack with a volley of missiles, much like Ruin Guards and Ruin Graders. Sprint at the last minute to avoid this attack!

Skywatch - Tail Flip Attack

The Ruin Drake: Skywatch flips its body to slam its tail on the ground and deal damage. This attack is slow and can easily be dodged.

Skywatch - Scattered Shots

The Ruin Drake: Skywatch shoots a slew of scattered shots from its wings, which can be avoided by continuous movement and dodging to the side of the enemy.
