Strange Parchment Locations and Puzzle Guide

The Strange Parchment is a treasure hunting puzzle to get a Luxurious Chest in Sumeru for Genshin Impact. See how to solve the Strange Parchment puzzle, locations, and treasure rewards for completing it.

Strange Parchment Location

Obtained from Vimana Agama Quest

Collect the mechanical component during the Vimana Agama quest, "Royinjan's Chapter: Linga" to obtain the Strange Parchment. It will also complete the quest.

While you have the map unlocked, completing the whole puzzle requires the completion of "Vimana Agama: Dev Delver Chapter," as it gives you access to the final area in the treasure map!

Treasure Hunt Start

The Strange Parchment consists of four challenges with the route mapped out in Devantaka Mountain. Solving all four puzzles rewards you the Luxurious Chest in Devantaka Mountain. You can do the first three challenges in any order to get the first variants of the Parchment.

For the purpose of consistency, we'll follow the route indicated in the map for now!

1. Particle Collection Challenge

The first challenge location is right below the Statue of the Seven in Devantaka Mountain. Nearby the large Ruin Golem's left arm, you can find a Time Trial challenge. Collect all the particles to get the next Treasure Chest that contains the Unsealed Parchment.

2. Combat Trial

Go north from the previous challenge by gliding along the edges of the mountain. At the far end, you'll find another challenge. This challenge requires you to defeat three Ruin Machine enemies within a minute.

Completing the trial rewards you with a Remarkable Chest containing a furniture and the Guiding Parchment.

3. Fishing Challenge

From the second challenge, drop down to the fishing spot north of Devantaka Mountain. Use your fishing rod with the Sugardew Bait, then fish until you get the Whispering Parchment.

4. Torch Puzzle

The last torch puzzle is located underneath Devantaka Mountain, which is accesible during Vimana Agama: Dev Devler Chapter quest. Burn the following torches in sequence similar to the path written on the map to get the Luxurious Chest! You will also get the last Mysterious Parchment.

Fastest way to get to the Torch Puzzle

If you've already unlocked the waypoint nearest to the Statue of Seven in Devantaka Mountain. Simply teleport there and drop down to the camp nearby.

If you haven't unlocked it, this area and waypoint will be accessible during the Vimana Agama: Dev Devler Chapter quest. The other entrance is locked behind a vine accessible from the same location, so you have to do this first.

Solving all Strange Parchment puzzles reward you with a Luxurious Chest and the Mysterious Parchment.

Call of the Nameless City Achievement

	Call of the Nameless City
	Quiet the Mysterious Parchment.

Completing the puzzle rewards you with the Call of the Nameless City, which gives 5 Primogems.
