In every Rhythm quests, you have to Investigate the runic symbols first to start the puzzle. They are found just beside the Aranara upon talking to them.

Observe the Sumeru Roses in Gloomy Path

Face the Sumeru Roses with the tallest one on the center back. From there, walk right on the dirt path that has no grass. All five Sumeru Roses should light up when you've turned around 90 degrees. This lets you learn the hidden song, Rhythm of the Gloomy Path.

Observe the Sumeru Roses in Nurtures the Sprout

Stand in front of the Sumeru Roses with the lowest flower facing front. Walk to your right until the green umbrella is in the center of your view. This should light up all five Sumeru Roses. Upon doing so, you will learn the hidden song, Rhythm of the Sprout.
