Giga Drain Competitive Analysis

Giga Drain is a staple in competitive play because of the utility it offers. Being able to restore HP while dealing damage is invaluable in Pokemon. If the user is holding a Big Root, Giga Drain heals for 65% of the damage dealt.

This move is especially helpful for tanky Grass-types like Venusaur. Even Pokemon that aren't Grass use this as coverage against Ground, Rock, and Water-type Pokemon.
