Competitive Analysis

Future Sight is a unique Psychic-type move in that it deals damage two turns after the move is used.

This move goes past Protect and Detect, meaning the target cannot avoid taking Future Sight's damage (with a few exceptions)

Future Sight deals Psychic-type damage, and gains a boost from Psychic-type Pokemon through STAB. This also means that Dark-type Pokemon cannot be damaged by Future Sight.
