Competitive Analysis

Calm Mind is a valuable move to special attackers as it raises the stat by two levels. Any Pokemon that has Calm Mind set up is dangerous and is a serious threat capable of wiping out teams.

A very common example of this is Calyrex (Shadow Rider) in Doubles. It only needs one use of Calm Mind and can immediately spam Astral Barrage, potentially even becoming more powerful with As One's Grim Neigh.

Calm Mind's boost can be easily cleared with Haze or by forcing the Pokemon to switch out.
