How to Remove the Tatarasuna Barrier

Genshin - Mikage Furnace Quest Location

To get rid off the Tatarasuna Barrier and unlock the Mikage Furnace, you have to complete the first Tatara Tales quest. You can begin the quest by teleporting to the waypoint in the middle of the Kujou Encampment in Kannazuka, and talking to Miyuki and Toranosuke.

Tatara Tales Objectives

  • Ask the two about the situation
  • Look for Xavier
  • Observe the Mikage Furnace (0/3)
  • Report back to Xavier
  • Activate the Kamuijima Cannons and destroy the rifts (0/3)
  • Report back to Xavier
  • Defeat the attacking Fatui
  • Get close to the Mikage Furnace
  • Take a picture of the storage device
  • Report back to Xavier

Objectives

Genshin - Mikage Furnace Quest Location
Teleport to the waypoint in the middle of the Kujou Encampment and approach Miyuki and Toranosuke.

Genshin - How to Ask About the Situation
Once the cutscene is over, talk to Miyuki and Toranosuke separately.

Genshin - Where to Find Xavier
Teleport near the quest marker in Tatarasuna and talk to Xavier.

Genshin - Map of Tatarasuna Barrier Rifts
Go to the locations of the three quest markers and investigate the Tatarasuna Barrier rifts. We recommend following our marked path!

Genshin - Defeat the Fatui at the First Rift
To investigate Barrier Rift 1, defeat the Fatui in the quest marker location.

Genshin - Follow the Seelie at Rift 2
To investigate Barrier Rift 2, follow the Electro Seelie to its court. You can do this by summoning an Electrogranum and using the Thunder Sphere to boost you up.

Genshin - Thunder Sakura Bough at Rift 3
To investigate Barrier Rift 3, summon an Electrogranum with the Sakura Bough east of the quest marker. Use the Electrogranum to enter the Thunder Barrier.

Genshin - Report Back to Xavier
Once you've investigated all three Tatarasuna Barrier rifts, go back to Xavier and talk to him.

Genshin - Kamujijima Cannon Map
Go to the locations marked on the Kamuijima Cannon Map to destroy the barrier. You can teleport to the waypoints for Kamuijima Cannons 2 and 3 easily!

Genshin - Summon Electrogranum for Cannon 1
For Cannon 1, summon the Electrogranum at the base of the cliff. Activate the cannon and adjust it 2 times to the right, then 2 times upward before firing.

Genshin - Summon Electrogranum for Cannon 2
Teleport to Cannon 2 and summon the Electrogranum near the cannon. Activate the cannon and adjust it 3 times to the left, then 2 times upward before firing.

Genshin - Summon Electrogranum for Cannon 3
Teleport to Cannon 3 and summon the Electrogranum near the cannon. Activate the cannon and adjust it 2 times to the right, then 2 times upward before firing.

Genshin - Unlocked Mikage Furnace Barrier
After destroying all three Tatarasuna Barrier rifts, you have now unlocked the Mikage Furnace!

Genshin - Defeat the ambushing Fatui
Report back to Xavier and defeat the Fatui that ambush you.

Genshin - How to Get to Mikage Furnace
Approach the Mikage Furnace. We recommend teleporting to the waypoint west of Tatarasuna and following the path to the quest marker. Be sure to summon Electrogranum to avoid Balethunder damage!

Genshin - How to take a Picture of the Storage Device
Once near the Mikage Furnace, open your in-game camera and take a picture of the glowing Electro storage device.

Genshin - Give the Picture to Xavier
Go back to Xavier submit the Clear Image of the Mikage Furnace device to complete the quest!
