How to Unlock Yougou Cleansing

Complete the Prerequisite Quests

Yougou Cleansing is unlocked by breaking all five shrine barriers and completing the Cleansing Defilement and Tanuki-Bayashi in the Forest sub-quests of the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual quest series.

Report Back to Hanachirusato

After breaking the five barriers and cleansing the evil within, go back to the first shrine underneath the Konda Village Well to report to Hanachirusato. She will ask you to meet at Mt. Yougou.

Head to the Opening at Mt. Yougou: The Depths

Teleport to the Grand Narukami Shrine waypoint and head down to a platform near the large purple hole at the center of the mountain where Hanachirusato is.

Jump In the Hole

After a cutscene, a large hole in the middle of Mt. Yougou will open up, and you will be asked to jump in. Get down and grab Electrograna on the way to keep Balethunder from damaging you.

Defeat the Miasmic Tumor Phase 1

Down the bottom, there's a large Miasmic Tumor waiting for you to perform cleansing surgery! Defeat the Pyro Ochimusha representing the Miasmic Tumor before solving the first tumor puzzle.

Correctly solving the puzzle will lower the Tumor and allow you to attack it. It will become invulnerable once and spew out miasma, but you can continue attacking after!

	④	Head west, past the main notch and adjust the notch there.
	⑤	From the west run towards the northwest of the guide symbol and adjust the notch there.
	③	From northwest, run past the guide symbol and adjust the notch in the far northeast!
	①	Head back to main notch and press ''Pray''!

Defeat the Miasmic Tumor Phase 2

An Electro Ochimusha will appear next, and the Tumor will start sending miasma orbs at you even as you solve the second puzzle.

	③	Run north near the guide symbol and adjust the notch!
	⑤	Run past the guide symbol to the northwest and adjust the order.
	④	Head for the southeastern notch near the bark and adjust that one!

Defeat the Miasma Tumor Phase 3

This time, two Ochimusha will appear. Take them out and continue to dodge the miasma blasts as you solve the final puzzle, then lay down the hurt on the Tumor one last time!

Talk to Hanachirusato

After you defeat the Tumor, talk to Hanachirusato and a cutscene will play. After the cutscene is over, go over and pick up her fox mask. When worn, this mask turns into the blueprint for the Hakushin Ring.

How to Use Mask of Memories

Hanachirusato and Kazari Names

In the initial release of the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual quest, the lady with the fox mask is known as Kazari for most of the quest, only revealing herself as ''Hanachirusato'' at the end of Yougou Cleansing.

In Version 2.7, Kazari's name was completely replaced with Hanachirusato from the start of the quest in Sacrificial Offering.
