After completing the Archon Quest for Chapter 2: Prologue, you can begin Chapter 2: Act 1. Play through The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia Archon Quest to be able to sail to Inazuman areas, including access to Watatsumi Island.

Watatsumi's main World Questline, The Moon-Bathed Deep, involves a myriad of puzzles from each ''Parts'' of Watatsumi that you need to solve in order to finish the quest.
The Moon-Bathed Deep Quests Guide
The Palace in a Pool Domain is located in the northeast area of Watatsumi Island.
Although you can get to the location pretty easily, the Domain will initially be underwater. You'll need to solve a series of puzzles and lower the water level twice to unlock it.

The 9 Cube Puzzle in Watatsumi Island can be found near the eastern Teleport Waypoint in Bourou Village.

There are various Phase Gates in Watatsumi Island. Rotate a Phase Gate to establish an Energy Route with another Phase Gate and go through the gates to travel quickly to another area!
Thunder Barriers are domes or doors that block certain areas using Electro Energy.
How to Pass Through Thunder Barriers
Electrograna can be summoned all over Watatsumi Island with a Thunder Sakura Bough.
When you have an Electrograna with you, you will be able to pass through Thunder Barriers if their level is high enough.
Bake-Danuki are mischievous spirits that dance and hide by disguising themselves as various objects.

Watatsumi Island is the territory of the Sangonomiya Clan, with Sangonomiya Kokomi as the island's Divine Priestess and Supreme Leader.
A peaceful village on the south side of Watatsumi Island. It is said that ancestors of the people in Bourou Village came from beneath the waters.
This is also where the soldiers of the Resistance currently resides. Gorou is most likely to be living here as well.
The entrance to Enkanomiya is said to be located deep inside the large vortex in front of the Sangonomiya Shrine. Legend says that ancestors of the people of Watatsumi Island came from here.
