How to Unlock The Saga of Mr. Forgetful

The Saga of Mr. Forgetful can only be unlocked on the server reset after completing the Octave of the Maushiro quest.

Octave of the Maushiro is also a time-locked quest that only spawns on the server reset after completing the Particularly Particular Author Quest. Both of these are part of the Through the Mists quest series.

How to Get into the Ruins

2 Ways to Get into the Ruins
Shirikoro Location	Shirikoro Entrance
Chirai Location	Chirai Entrance

The Chirai Shrine entrance will only be open if you've used the door mechanism on the other side. If the door is still closed, you'll need to go through the Shirikoro Peak entrance.

How to Get Ruin Mural 1

Ruin Mural 1 is found behind a wall with an Owl Painting. This wall is on a lower level of the area, which you can reach by taking a short flight of stairs downward.

Use the Peculiar Pinion Gadget

Use the Peculiar Pinion on the Owl Wall and explore the room until you see a glowing spot. The mural will be on the ceiling, so look up to take a picture!

How to Get Ruin Murals 2, 3, and 4

Ruin Murals 2, 3, and 4 are in the same room of an area in the ruins. It's the area that has 3 Seelie Courts and a Relay Stone Puzzle, in the room marked in the image above.

Take pictures of all 3 Walls

After stepping on the glowing marker in the room, take a picture of each wall in that room to get all 3 Ruin Mural images.

How to Get Ruin Mural 5

Ruin Mural 5 is found in the same area as Ruin Murals 2, 3, and 4, just in a different room. The entrance to the room is near a ruined building, and the room has 5 Pyro Torches inside it (which is part of a Shirikoro Peak Puzzle).

Simply step on the glowing marker and take a picture of the Ruin Mural on the wall.

How to Get Ruin Mural 6

Ruin Mural 6 is in an area near the Chirai Shrine's ruin entrance. It's right on the wall of a circular door, and doesn't require any puzzle-solving. Just step on the glowing marker and take a picture with your in-game camera.

Procure some Fluorescent Fungus for Roald. With any luck, it'll do his poor memory some good.

The Saga of Mr. Forgetful Walkthrough

	Objectives
1	After completing the unlock requirements, Roald will spawn near the Statue of the Seven on Tsurumi Island. Go there and talk to him.
2	Bring him 10 Fluorescent Fungus. Click here for all Fluorescent Fungus locations!
3	Using your in-game camera, take photos of the Ruin Murals in the underground ruins between Shirikoro Peak and Chirai Shrine. Note that you'll need the Peculiar Pinion gadget to unlock one of the murals! Jump to all Ruin Mural Locations!
4	Return to Roald's location and talk to him again to complete the quest!

How to Take a Photo of the Ruin Murals

Click the Camera Icon in the Game Menu

To take a photo of the Ruin Murals, step on the glowing spot in front of the murals, pause your game, and select the camera icon in the menu. Adjust the camera angle to the correct position then take a picture!
