How to Unlock Tatara Tales: Final Preparations
Complete the Prerequisites
You can unlock Tatara Tales: Final Preparations by completing the previous subquest, Tatara Tales: Functional Test, and waiting for one server reset! This means that you cannot do more than one Tatara Tales subquest in a single day!

Tatara Tales: Final Preparations Walkthrough
Talk to Xavier
After completing the Functional Test and the server resets, go back to Xavier and talk to him. He'll tell you that the tests went okay, and that the Onikabuto you previously gathered have been purified.
Collect Planks
For the final preparations, Xavier wants you to repair the pathways inside Mikage Furnace. First, you have to go pick up some planks though, so follow the road behind Xavier.
Waiting by the stack of planks is a Cryo Cicin Mage, a Mirror Maiden, and a Fatui Skirmisher. Defeat them, and take the planks.
Investigate and Repair the Paths
Next, you have to find three spots where the pathways are broken. Location 1 is north of the Mikage Furnace, while locations 2 and 3 are on the left side of the map, on the same path! Remember to Electrograna on you, to avoid taking damage as always.
Report Back to Xavier
Once done, return back to Xavier and report your progress. Listen to Xavier blabber about the worst case scenario, as he implies that he wants to go straight to the Mikage Furnace's core!
