You can unlock Tatara Tales: The Last Act by completing the previous subquest, Tatara Tales: Functional Test, and waiting for one server reset! This means that you cannot do more than one Tatara Tales subquest in a single day!
Tatara Tales: Functional Test Quest Guide
As always, after completing the Final Preparations and the server resets, go back to Xavier and talk to him. He will ask to go check out the Furnace, so head to the top of the pathway found across the nearby bridge and a cutscene will start.
Go back down the path and find the missing components in the three glowing spots. Watch out for Fatui enemies spawning at the midpoint! Afterwards, bring the components back to Xavier.
Go Deeper into the Furnace and make your way to the Super-Smelter you placed a beacon at and prepare for a fight. Defeat the Fatui (Electro, Anemo, Mirror Maiden) and talk to Xavier to continue.
Next, head to the bottom of the Furnace, where you took the photo. Once there activate the Purification Device, and defeat the Fatui enemies while protecting the device and talk to Xavier again.
Once the fight has ended, talk to Xavier, and he'll remark that the Mikage Furnace is back up and running again. Then, head back up to the very top of the Furnace. You no longer need Electrograna to stay safe, as the Tatarigami is already being cleansed!
After the cutscene with Xavier, head back to Toranosuke, the soldier at Kujou Encampment, to finally end this quest chain and get your rewards!
Tatara Tales: The Last Act is a subquest of the quest, Tatara Tales, where we accompany and help Xavier fix the Mikage Furnace, and keep its Tatarigami Core from going haywire!
Tatara Tales: The Last Act is the eighth part of the Tatara Tales world quest chain. The succeeding subquests of Tatara Tales unlock after one server reset.
