Competitive Analysis

Guard Swap is a status Psychic-type move that switches the user and a target's Defense and Special Defense stat changes. This does not switch base stats.

This is an effective way of neutralizing the defensive hindrances brought by bulky Pokemon who boosted their Defense and Special Defense stats with moves like Amnesia or Cosmic Power.
