Competitive Analysis

Skill Swap is a status Psychic-type move which swaps the user's Ability with its target.

This niche move is used to essentially remove certain Pokemon's weakness in Doubles, although the setup will take a few turns.

A great example for this is for a Pokemon with Levitate to swap its Ability to a Fire or Electric-type Pokemon, which removes its weakness to Ground-type moves.

This move can also be used to reset the weather by copying a weather-changing Ability.

Take note that Skill Swap will not work on Dynamaxed or Gigantamaxed Pokemon.
