Competitive Analysis

Sheer Cold has the effect of instantly knocking out the Pokemon if the move connects, however it is important to consider the low accuracy of this move. The move fails if the target is of a higher Level, and Ice-type Pokemon are immune.

Sheer Cold has a high-risk, high-reward move that can either instantly eliminate any threats, or waste your turn by putting you in a vulnerable position.

This move can be good against defensive teams or walls that are otherwise difficult to normally break.
