Muddy Water Competitive Analysis

Muddy Water is one of the strongest Water-type move in the game. The 90 base power mixed with the ability to hit both foes makes this an obvious choice in Doubles. Lastly, this move has a 30% chance to lower the opponent's accuracy by one stage; a valuable debuff in any competitive format.

Muddy Water vs Surf

Muddy Water and Surf are quite similar as moves. The major difference is Muddy Water offers more utility with its secondary effect. Surf on the other hand has a 100 accuracy compared to Muddy Water's 85.

This choice comes down to preference. Muddy Water is better if you value utility, while Surf offers more accuracy.
