• Constant Cryo usage useful for Elemental Reactions such as Freeze due to being a catalyst user. • Relies on Normal Attacks for big and constant DMG, which lessens dependence on Elemental Skill and Burst CD. • High DMG scaling and potential for Melt. • Capable of self-healing should his HP fall too low. • Can easily cross waters by ice-bridging as a catalyst user.
Weaknesses
• Normal Attack AoE is relatively small; better suited against bosses than mobs, unless you can group those enemies together. • Without C1, his Special Charged Attack and self-healing has a 5s cooldown and cannot be activated efficiently with certain healers.

Taking his HP sacrificing mechanic into account, Marechaussee Hunter is the best build for Wriothesley as it allows him to build more CRIT DMG to maximize his Normal and Charged Attack damage.

Apart from that, pairing him up with a second Cryo character for Cryo Resonance will give him even more CRIT Rate. This will give you more leeway for focusing on other stats, mainly CRIT DMG.

Freeze teams excel with Wriothesley especially if he has Furina, as her buffs complement Wriothesley's HP increase and decrease mechanic.

Pairing Cryo with a Bloom or Hyperbloom team can add reactions into the mix, ranging from Frozen to Superconduct along with the Dendro-related reactions.

Yelan and Xingqiu will apply Hydro to enemies with every hit Wriothesley's Normal Attack does, and Nahida and Collei will apply Dendro regularly. You will need an Electro who can trigger the cores off-field as well, like Shinobu or Raiden!

Additionally, Rebuke: Vaulting Fist will obtain the following enhancement: • The DMG Bonus gained will be further increased to 200%. • When it hits while Wriothesley is in the Chilling Penalty state, that state's duration is extended by 4s. 1 such extension can occur per 1 Chilling Penalty duration. You must first unlock the Passive Talent "There Shall Be a Plea for Justice."
C2	Shackles for the Arrogant When using Darkgold Wolfbite, each Prosecution Edict stack from the Passive Talent "There Shall Be a Reckoning for Sin" will increase said ability's DMG dealt by 40%. You must first unlock the Passive Talent "There Shall Be a Reckoning for Sin."
C3	Punishment for the Frauds Increases the Level of Normal Attack: Forceful Fists of Frost by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4	Redemption for the Suffering The HP restored to Wriothesley through Rebuke: Vaulting Fist will be increased to 50% of his Max HP. Additionally, when Wriothesley is healed, if the amount of healing overflows, the following effects will occur depending on whether he is on the field or not. C5	Mercy for the Wronged Increases the Level of Darkgold Wolfbite by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6	Esteem for the Innocent The CRIT Rate of Rebuke: Vaulting Fist will be increased by 10%, and its CRIT DMG by 80%. When unleashed, it will also create an additional icicle that deals 100% of Rebuke: Vaulting Fist's Base DMG as Cryo DMG. DMG dealt this way is regarded as Charged Attack DMG. Normal Attack

Normal Attack: Forceful Fists of Frost
Coalescing frost about his fist, Wriothesley will unleash powerful Repelling Fists, performing up to 5 rapid attacks that deal Cryo DMG. Apart from this, Normal Attack combo count will not reset for a short time after using Icefang Rush or sprinting. Charge Attack Consumes a fixed amount of Stamina to leap and unleash a Vaulting Fist, dealing AoE Cryo DMG.

Integral to His Kit

Wriothesley performs 5 consecutive Cryo attacks in very quick succession.

With even his other Talents providing support to it, Wriothesley's Normal Attack is the most powerful Talent in his arsenal, to the point that even sprinting nor using his Elemental Skill will not reset the combo count.

Charged Attack

A massive uppercut that sends opponents flying. In coordination with the Passive Talent There Shall Be a Plea for Justice, doing a Charged Attack once Wriothesley reaches below 60% will enhance that attack and heal him for a fixed amount of HP.

It's also worth noting that doing a Charged Attack on a Frozen enemy will shatter them!

Elemental Skill

Icefang Rush

Adjusting his breathing, rhythm, and pace, Wriothesley sprints forward a short distance, entering the Chilling Penalty state and unleashing more powerful attacks than before. Chilling Penalty • Increases Wriothesley's interruption resistance. • When his HP is above 50%, it will enhance the Repelling Fists of Normal Attack: Forceful Fists of Frost and increase its DMG. When such an attack hits, it will consume a fixed amount of Wriothesley's HP. HP can be lost this way once every 0.1s. This effect will be canceled should Wriothesley leave the field.

Empowers his Normal Attacks

Wriothesley's Elemental Skill does not do active DMG to enemies, but provides dramatic DMG increase to his Normal Attacks in exchange for HP, which depletes at a fixed amount at certain intervals during the Skill's duration.

Using Wriothesley's Elemental Skill mid-combo will not reset his combo count.

Elemental Burst

Darkgold Wolfbite
Activating his boxing gloves, Wriothesley strikes out with an icy straight, then uses Icicle Impact to cause multiple instances of AoE Cryo DMG in a frontal area. Arkhe: Ousia After Icicle Impact ends, a Surging Blade will descend upon the opponent's position, dealing Ousia-aligned Cryo DMG.

Reliable Burst Damage

A powerful straight punch that sends forth a giant wave of Cryo that hits enemies in an AoE 5 times. Perfect for repelling enemy mobs, especially in emergency situations. It also brings down a sword imbued with Ousia!

Passive Talent 1

There Shall Be a Plea for Justice
When Wriothesley's HP is less than 60%, he will obtain a Gracious Rebuke. The next Charged Attack of his Normal Attack: Forceful Fists of Frost will be enhanced to become Rebuke: Vaulting Fist. It will not consume Stamina, will deal 50% increased DMG, and after hitting will restore HP for Wriothesley equal to 30% of his Max HP. You can gain a Gracious Rebuke this way once every 5s.

Heals on Charged Attack

When Wriothesley's HP falls to 60% or below, his next Charged ATK will have increased DMG and will heal him for 30% of his Max HP.

Passive Talent 2

There Shall Be a Reckoning for Sin
When Wriothesley's current HP increases or decreases, if he is in the Chilling Penalty state conferred by Icefang Rush, Chilling Penalty will gain one stack of Prosecution Edict. Max 5 stacks. Each stack will increase Wriothesley's ATK by 6%.

Passive Talent 3

The Duke's Grace
When Wriothesley crafts Weapon Ascension Materials, he has a 10% chance to receive double the product.

I'm talking about personal anecdotes about the man of Meropide himself... What do you mean, "confidentiality"? Aw, not you, too! We had a deal! That does it - remember that gigantic feast I treated you to? I want my money back! Get your butts back to prison and do your time, you swindlers, you!
Chevreuse	The work Wriothesley does is highly effective. As least all criminals know that the Fortress of Meropide isn't the type of place you want to stay at long enough to grow old. That fact comes in handy during our interrogation work.
Chiori	Yes. Some of my friends and partners have mentioned him to me before. I admire his skills at management and diplomacy, but I certainly have no intention of changing my way of doing things.
Clorinde	Managing the Fortress of Meropide is no mean feat. Wriothesley is undoubtedly a highly capable person if he can maintain relative stability in a place like that. I highly suspect that he keeps quiet about some of the methods he uses, but there's no way we can know.
Furina	I haven't communicated with him much, but Neuvillette claims he's trustworthy, so I suppose he must be a good person. Oh, come to think of it, I've received some tea from Wriothesley before and it was exquisite!
Navia	Trying to discuss anything with that guy is an exhausting process. Clorinde says I needn't have any reservations about collaborating with him in the scope of our preexisting agreement, but I still shouldn't trust everything that comes out of his mouth. No wonder my father never tried to get involved with the affairs of the fortress... I think I'll play it safe and keep things that way.
Neuvillette	Wriothesley is a trustworthy man. I fought hard for the title and reputation he now has. I expect you to think that I've simply been duped by his flattery and appearance of loyalty... Clorinde	About Clorinde Clorinde is the best Champion Duelist you can find. Her combat prowess is already the stuff of legend. I've never fought her myself, but that's because there's never been a need for it.
Emilie	About Emilie The Fortress of Meropide doesn't need her services. Yet some things are best preserved the way they are, warts and all, so people don't make the same mistakes twice... I say warts, but yeah. I mean the smell.
Furina	About Furina Miss Furina displayed a severe lack of interest in my trial and excused herself early, probably because I pleaded guilty to all charges as soon as they were announced. Disappointing the Hydro Archon is a big deal, so... suppose I've got no choice but to keep gifting her copious amounts of the highest quality tea.
Lyney	About Lyney I'll admit that when I removed the House of the Hearth's spies in the underworld, that was kind of an intentional provocation to the Fatui. But their only response was to send down a bunch of children... Was it because they truly saw those kids as disposable? Or because they knew I wouldn't have it in me to let them come to serious harm?
Navia	About Navia The Fortress of Meropide works with Spina di Rosula on some matters regarding supplies and logistics, but we don't have any other dealings. This isn't because I don't trust Navia or her abilities, in fact, I hold her in quite high regard. The only reason we continue to stay out of each other's way is because I wanna honor the agreement I made with the late Mr. Callas.
Neuvillette	About Neuvillette I was once summoned by Neuvillette to discuss some matters with him in his office. When I approached the Palais Mermonia, I saw him standing by the road, completely drenched in the rain. I held out an umbrella for him, and while he thanked me politely, his expression was a little... distressed, I guess. I can only assume that I had disturbed him in the middle of something.
