As of Version 5.1, Nahida still remains as a solid Dendro character that is able to deal reliable Off-Field and On-Field damage, provide consistent Dendro application to teams that need it, and buff her team during the uptime of her Elemental Burst. The small downtime of applying her Elemental Skill is more than enough to justify itself, as the Elemental Skill mark often stays long enough for the team to kill any opponents that are afflicted with it, which is especially useful against Boss opponents where high, non-interruptible damage is needed.
Although the recent addition of Xilonen provides nothing for Nahida, when comparing Nahida to Emilie and the newest Dendro member Kinich, Nahida offers more by virtue of being more versatile, able to be placed in Quicken and Hyperbloom teams whereas Emilie and Kinich can be soft-locked to Burning and Burgeon due to their damage potentially falling off if placed anywhere else. It should even be noted that both of these reactions are also territories that Nahida has access to, giving more emphasis to her versatile nature and accessibility.

Nahida's Strengths |
---|
• Best applicator for Dendro with great off-field damage as a Sub-DPS, especially with C2. • Converts Elemental Mastery as additional CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, making her extremely versatile by acting as a great damage dealer and a support at the same time. • Elemental Skill lasts for a long duration while also having a low cooldown. The mark can be applied to an enemy indefinitely after every team rotations. • Provides a huge Elemental Mastery Bonus to the active character inside her Elemental Burst, which also increases the effectiveness of the team's Dendro Reactions. • Elemental Skill allows you to collect materials in the overworld easily, especially for items that hang on walls. |
Nahida's Weaknesses |
• Dealing with waves of enemies requires her to reapply her Elemental Skill mark, which is disadvantagous for characters who require long on-field time. • Low base HP, which makes her vulnerable to high hits especially on Bloom teams. |
Despite being locked to 4-pc. Deepwood Memories a lot of the time, Nahida surprisingly has a lot of options available to her, ranging from a low-investment Elemental Mastery Support, to a traditional CRIT DPS.
The use case for each entirely depends on whether or not you want Nahida to do damage and whether that damage is On-Field or Off-Field. CRIT stats will always be welcome, but is more valued if Nahida is used On-Field.

Nahida's best build as a Sub-DPS and Support role will have her use the Deepwood Memories with Elemental Mastery Stats. Your goal should be to get around 800 to 1000 Elemental Mastery on Nahida.
Generally, EM Mainstats are her best choice, but since Nahida's passive lets any character share Elemental Mastery with the character on-field, you can also opt to use a Dendro Goblet or a Crit Circlet to increase her damage.
It is better to invest in CRIT stats rather than going past 1000 EM since it provides more value if you have gone past that point.

This Nahida build lets her act as an on-field unit to enable Dendro reactions like Quicken (Spread and Aggravate), Bloom variations (Standard Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon), and Burning.
You won't have to focus as much on EM substats for this build since a teammate with a very high EM stat can share their Elemental Mastery with Nahida.

For an on-field Main DPS Nahida, her talent priority should have an equal spread for leveling up all three of her talents.
For a Sub-DPS and Support Nahida, you need to prioritize leveling her Elemental Skill first since it is the bulk of her damage. Next, you can level up your Elemental Burst while leaving her Normal Attacks for last.
Nahida scales mostly off of EM, but also carries a highly sought amount of Dendro application with her, making sets that buff Dendro damage or EM highly effective on her due to how well EM translates into CRIT stats for her Elemental Skill.
She will often be the carrier of 4-pc. Deepwood Memories on the team, and while the set is almost non-negotiable when you get it, Gilded Dreams and Golden Troupe can work as alternatives in the meantime.
Artifact | Artifact Bonuses | |
---|---|---|
1st | Deepwood Memories |
2-PC: Dendro DMG Bonus +15% 4-PC: After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets' Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field. |
2nd | Gilded Dreams |
2-PC: Elemental Mastery +80 4-PC: Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and EM is increased by 50 for every member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s and even when not on the field. |
3rd | Golden Troupe |
2-PC: Elemental Skill DMG +20% 4-PC: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 25%. Additionally when not on the field, Elemental Skill DMG will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2s after taking the field. |
In general, Deepwood Memories will be Nahida's best Artifact since you will always need a Deepwood Memories user for any Dendro team comp.
Alternatively, you can opt for Gilded Dreams for more Elemental Mastery, or Golden Troupe as a generalist support set. However, Gilded Dreams will only be better than Deepwood Memories if there is another party member with the Deepwood Memories set.
List of Artifacts and Set Bonuses
Since Nahida already has a generous conversion rate of EM to CRIT when using her Elemental Skill, it almost becomes imperative to stack EM as high as you can, making Elemental Mastery weapons like her Signature the best choice for her.
Even without A Thousand Floating Dreams though, Nahida can make use of any weapon so long as it gives CRIT or increases her EM, such as Kagura's Verity, Sacrificial Fragments, and even the 3-star Magic Guide.

Base ATK: 542 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery 265 Skill Effect: Equipping Character gains buffs based on other party members' elemental type. If their elemental type is the same as the equipping character, Elemental Mastery is increased by 32. If not, the equipping character's elemental DMG Bonus is increased by 10%. Each effect can stack by a maximum of 3. All nearby party members will also gain an additional 40 Elemental Mastery. |
2nd | Kagura's Verity |
Base ATK: 608 Bonus Stat: CRIT DMG 66.2% Skill Effect: Gains the Kagura Dance effect when using an Elemental Skill, causing the Elemental Skill DMG of the character wielding this weapon to increase by 12% for 16s. Max 3 stacks. This character will gain 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus when they possess 3 stacks. |
3rd | Sacrificial Fragments |
Base ATK: 454 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery 221 Skill Effect: After damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s. |
As a Sub-DPS or Support, Nahida is best suited with a Elemental Mastery Substat weapon. As a Main DPS, CRIT Rate/DMG Substats is what Nahida will need.

Base ATK: 354 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery 187 Skill Effect: Increases DMG against enemies affected by Hydro or Electro by 12%. |

Magic Guide will be one of the best F2P weapons for Nahida if you have it at R5. It provides higher Elemental Mastery than Mappa Mare while also giving Nahida a big DMG increase if you can constantly apply Electro or Hydro on enemies.

Nahida is the first character that comes to mind when a team requires solid Dendro application without sacrificing damage, as Nahida is able to offer both in a consistent manner.
This is especially true when Nahida is paired with Electro or Hydro units due to the potential to trigger Dendro-related reactions such as Quicken, Bloom, and Hyperbloom.

Nahida | Alhaitham | Yelan | Shinobu |

Nahida | Neuvillette | Shinobu | Baizhu |
Nahida is staple in many Bloom teams, and often can act as the solo Dendro applicator for teams that require high frequency of Dendro. Alhaitham, Yelan, Xingqiu, and Shinobu are some of the best characters for the reaction.

Nahida's excellent off-field Dendro DPS is perfect for her role as a Sub-DPS in Quicken Teams. Enabling the Quicken Aura on enemies will let Electro characters deal more damage through Aggravate reactions!

Nahida's off-field Dendro damage is great for creating Dendro Cores. You will need sufficient on or off-field Hydro damage to apply or maintain the Hydro Aura on enemies to prevent a Pyro Aura from applying.

Nahida is also excellent for creating Bountiful Cores in a Nilou team due to her constant Dendro damage. Given how fast Nahida can make Bountiful Cores, there's a danger that she might kill herself, so bring a healer.

Nahida is for creating Dendro Cores. With Dendro Cores on the field, you will simply need an Electro character who can periodically deal Electro damage to trigger the Hyperbloom reaction. The Electro character will need to stack Elemental Mastery stats.

Nahida can act as an on-field unit for Dendro-Electro teams to enable Spread and Aggravate reactions. Since Spread and Aggravate scales better with raw damage, you will get better value with CRIT substats on your Main and Sub-DPS characters than EM substats.
Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Sub-DPS | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Nahida | Yelan | Thoma | Kokomi |
Playing to her advantage as a great enabler for Dendro Cores, Nahida can also be an on-field unit for Burgeon teams. Burgeon teams simply need to create Dendro Cores through Hydro and Dendro interactions and then deal AoE Pyro damage to the Dendro Cores on the field.
In this team comp, Thoma will need to use EM/EM/EM Mainstats since he is the trigger for the Burgeon explosion.

Shrine of Maya When the Shrine of Maya field is unleashed, the following effects will be separately unleashed based on the Elemental Types present within the party: • Pyro: While Nahida remains within the Shrine of Maya, the DMG dealt by Tri-Karma Purification is increased. • Electro: While Nahida remains within the Shrine of Maya, the interval between each Tri-Karma Purification is decreased. • Hydro: The Shrine of Maya's duration is increased. If there are at least 2 party members of the aforementioned Elemental Types present when the field is deployed, the aforementioned effects will be increased further. Nahida's Elemental Burst creates a field that apply buffs to herself depending on the Elements of her party members, while also giving a huge boost in Elemental Mastery for the active character while inside the radius of this dome.

Electro | Decreases intervals of when Tri-Karma Purification is triggered. |

You can gain a maximum of 250 Elemental Mastery in this manner. |
In most cases, Nahida will be the one with the highest Elemental Mastery, offering the team up to 250 bonus Elemental Mastery for the duration of her Elemental Burst.

Alhaitham |
About Lesser Lord Kusanali One should neither dismiss nor overly revere the divine. Gods require followers, and they are also part of a biological hierarchy. That's why I don't take any pride in the fact that if helped rescue a god. I hope Lesser Lord Kusanali doesn't take offense. |
Candace |
About Lesser Lord Kusanali Perhaps it is a testament to the Dendro Archon's benevolence that I, a descendant of the Al-Ahmar bloodline, am able to live peacefully on this land. If so, I suppose I am grateful for this much, but... I am first and foremost a child of the desert. |
Collei |
About Lesser Lord Kusanali The Dendro Archon... When I was a kid, there were so many times when I just wanted to scream out to the gods and ask them why, why did I have to go through so much pain...? 'sigh' But, for all I know, maybe the gods feel just as helpless about everything they have to endure as I did back then. |
Cyno | Commenting on a god might be overstepping my position a little... But when I was working with her, I personally witnessed her wisdom, courage, and determination. Compared with those sages who constantly undermine and criticized her without a shred of evidence, I think I can provide a more reliable assessment: She is an exceptional deity who is worthy of everyone's respect. |
Dehya |
About Lesser Lord Kusanali Hmph... You know, I always thought the Akademiya's worst were just a bunch of greedy dogs, each fighting for their slice of the pie... Nope. Turns out they were a vicious pack of wolves who betrayed the whole nation. If you want my opinion... Lesser Lord Kusanali was too good to them. Those animals didn't deserve her mercy — she should've broken every single bone in their bodies! Instead, they got a nice little vacation in the rainforest... To say they got off lightly is just putting it mildly. |
Dori |
About Lesser Lord Kusanali In Sumeru, Lesser Lord Kusanali has very few believers. Hmm? Am I one? Heh, if she's willing to pay me, I'd be her loyal believer for all eternity. |
Faruzan | Knowledge is naturally something that cannot be limited or restrained. It's like how Kshahrewar can utilize Haravatat's research findings. All scholars will be grateful to Lesser Lord Kusanali for releasing the Akademiya— no, the entire City of Wisdom from the shackles of selfish desires. All who thirst for knowledge are now afforded the opportunity to search for treasures in the vast sea of knowledge. |
Kaveh |
About Lesser Lord Kusanali Lesser Lord Kusanali is a wise and capable god. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, she also possesses virtue far beyond mortal comprehension. I have only the utmost respect for her tolerance of others — especially in a nation of learning like Sumeru, that takes great equanimity. Sometimes, though, I do stop to wonder... Surely even the gods must have their struggles, too? Oftentimes, confusion is the beginning of wisdom... In which case, how can we ever achieve true happiness? |
Layla |
About Lesser Lord Kusanali Dear Mighty God of Wisdom, I've been studying late into the night for days on end, please let me .pass this exam! Please, please... Zzz... |
Neuvillette |
About Dendro Archon Though the day will come when I put her on trial, I must commend the God of Verdure on her sense of responsibility. Few things are without flaws in this world, but the devotion and benevolence she displays are a testament to her commitment to continued progress. I felt enormous regret when I learned of the mistreatment she has endured over the past five hundred years. |
Nilou |
About Lesser Lord Kusanali The people of the Greater Bazaar love Lesser Lord Kusanali. I'd love to hear her thoughts on my Dance of Sabzeruz... Oh, no, no, forget it... If she were in the right audience, I'd stage fright... |
Raiden |
About Buer I admire her humility; it is a sign of true wisdom. With the power she holds, Buer is capable of doing many things beyond our wildest imaginations... and yet, she uses her power only to right wrongs and to protect. She is a truly gentle god. |
Tighnari |
About Lesser Lord Kusanali As a student, I once heard this saying: "Plants and the Land of Dendro share the same history." It could just be one of those things that people say, but I've always felt that there's a deeper meaning to those words...If I meet Lesser Lord Kusanali one day, I wonder... if she would explain them to me? |
Venti |
About Buer The first thing you think of when you hear "Dendro Archon" is her power over dreams. Her dreams are akin to my ballads: full of emotion and imagination. It goes without saying that we get along really well. |
Wanderer |
About Lesser Lord Kusanali While I still had value as a pawn, she might have had other reasons to keep me alive. It's certainly possible that it was because she's wise or benevolent, or happened to see a hint of loneliness within me... You think I'm trying to think the worst of her? Hah, did you really expect anything else? In case you've forgotten, I'm no saint. |
Zhongli |
About Buer As well as ruling over all of Sumeru, the God of Wisdom, Buer, has a duty to guard Irminsul. Only one who possesses great wisdom could hope to shoulder these Responsibilities. All life in Teyvat owes her gratitude for saving Irminsul. |

Alhaitham |
About Alhaitham He holds a body of knowledge more advanced than most could imagine, and his mind is constantly thinking, so maybe nothing in this world could ever fool him. But is the wise man truly wise to view the mediocre majority as defective? Because without them, there is no us. |
Collei |
About Collei When I heard her story for the first time, her tenacity shone through like a dazzling gemstone. She's been through so much... I hope that just as the rainforest supports all kinds of life, Sumeru will always provide a safe and nurturing environment for her, so that she can grow up healthy and strong. |
Cyno |
About Cyno Duty: Not every General Mahamatra would take such a clear-cut and decisive stance when faced with a conflict between order and justice. He must know only too well that compromise is a path that leads to a dead end, so it's extremely fortunate for all of Sumeru that he's now been able to return to his rightful post. Jokes: His jokes are like buried treasure: gems hidden beneath the surface. They're a lot of fun. Hmm? Well, which part didn't you get? Okay, I can explain it for you. |
Dori |
About Dori The first thing she said when she saw me was "Nice palace. How much?" Of course, I couldn't possibly sell her the Sanctuary of Surasthana. But still, her question had me stumped. I thought about it long and hard, but I still can't figure out how much Mora it's worth... |
Faruzan |
About Faruzan She is suffering from exposure to remnants of King Deshret's power. It's as if the great tortoise of time accidentally threw her off its back and left her suspended in the past. If you're interested, you should be able to catch a glimpse of Sumeru from a bygone age through her. |
Kaveh |
About Kaveh He has an almost-perfect grasp of what it truly means for Sumeru to be a Nation of Wisdom. Sadly, the truth as he understands it will never be accepted as the mainstream. Hmm? He's roommates with Alhaitham? Wow... the world really is full of surprises... |
Nilou |
About Nilou I once borrowed someone else's body to ask her if she'd mind allowing Lesser Lord Kusanali to watch her dance... Actually, I had already watched her lots of times before in secret, but I wanted to attend her dance at the Sabzeruz Festival properly, in person, as a sign of respect. Anyway, it turned out that she gently declined the offer... I was a little sad about that. |
Tighnari |
About Tighnari The Forest Watchers played an essential role in helping the rainforest to withstand the Withering and continue to flourish, and Tighnari is the best of them all. Still... I do hope he learns to be a little gentler with people. Otherwise, it's gonna be difficult for the Forest Rangers to attract new top talent. |
Wanderer |
About The Balladeer When he finally achieved the ambition he thought he'd been pursuing all along, was he content at last, or only emptier still? We only yearn for the skies because we cannot fly... Hmm, perhaps he should reflect on this once he has held the sheer emptiness of the skies in his grasp. |
