How to Solve Primal Ember and Primal Torch Puzzles

Release and Follow the Primal Embers

Primal Embers always start on a Primal Sconce and will have a Primal Torch as their destination. Interact with the Primal Sconces to release the ember they hold and follow them until they reach their torch. Similar to Seelies and their Seelie Courts!

Avoid Strong Winds from Giant Fan Blades

Strong winds created by Giant Fan Blades will blow away Primal Embers. The embers will then go back to the last Primal Sconce they were on, much like "checkpoints".

Wait for the strong winds to cease before guiding the Primal Embers forward or turn them off completely with your Clearance!

At least Lv2 Clearance is required to control Giant Fan Blades

Some Giant Fan Blades don't stop blowing winds until they are turned off. If you see a Plinth next to a Giant Fan Blade, you will need at least Lv2 Clearance to control it and freely switch it on and off. This will let the Primal Ember move safely along its travel path!

Activate Primal Torches

The Primal Ember's journey will end once it reaches a large Primal Torch. Activating these torches always lead to something special, such as progressing a quest, higher quality chests, and can even disable invisible barriers!

Take note that puzzles involving Primal Embers and Primal Torches usually have two to four torches present. Roam the area to find the embers and you might get cool rewards!

Where to Find Primal Embers and Primal Torches

Ruins of King Deshret

You are likely to find Primal Embers and Primal Torches puzzles scattered in the Ruins of King Deshret. These can both be found on overworld and underground ruins om the Desert Area.
