Obscuring Cells are new mechanisms in Genshin Impact 3.1 that can cause nearby special walls within the Desert Ruins of King Deshret to become transparent. See how to use Obscuring Cells to reveal invisible walls, and how to unlock them with this guide!

How to Use Obscuring Cells

Touch the Obscuring Cell to Emit a Pulse

Touching an Obscuring Cell causes it to emit a pulse that will make certain walls and platforms nearby to be transparent. These are most commonly used in puzzles with Everlight Cells, as transparent walls will allow Primal Beams to pass through.

Obscuring Cells have the opposite effect of Verity Cells.

Can be Made From Replicator Keystones

Like the other ruin devices added in Version 3.1, Obscuring Cells can also be created through Replicator Keystones using a Forged Primal Light!

Try looking for these keystones if you run into Everlight Cells that have their beams blocked by a wall.

Unlocking May Require Level 3 Clearance

Genshin - Level 3 Clearance Obscuring Cell

Some ruin devices, including Obscuring Cells, are locked behind certain levels of Clearance. If you see a red seal around an Obscuring Cell, you might need to have at least Lv3 Clearance to unlock and use it.

Obscuring Cells are ruin mechanisms that can be activated to revert certain walls to their transparent state. They are found in the ruins of King Deshret, in Sumeru's Desert Area.
