Quest: #1 Lost in the Woods |
The Lone Isle Named Night requires players to have completed the Lost in the Woods quest, as the use of Saurian Abilities is key to completing the former quest.
The Lone Isle Named Night quest can be obtained from an island in the northern part of Ochkanatlan, the archipelago added to Natlan in the Version 5.2 update.
Natlan Interactive Map and Location
Upon arriving at the island indicated above, there is an Iktomisaurus Spiritsconce, as well as a strange circle structure near the waypoint. Turn into an Iktomisaur using the former, and use its ability on the latter to reveal a puzzle.
Once the cutscene plays out, players will need to activate the three mechanisms that were shown. Each mechanism will restore a quarter of the circle structure above the locked door on the island, which starts with a quarter present.
The first mechanism is located across the locked door, behind a series of moving search lights. Avoid the lights by walking behind them as they move forward, then moving out of the way when they change directions.
Reach the end of the path and activate the mechanism here to bring the circle structure above the door to halfway completion.
From the waypoint on the island, go down the stairs to the east to find the second mechanism being circled by two search lights. Approaching it spawns a Tenebrous Mimiflora enemy that players will need to defeat.
Note that the search lights remain active after the enemy spawns, meaning players will need to continue to avoid the lights during the fight. Once the enemy is defeated, activate the second mechanism.
The third mechanism is located at the highest point on the island. Head to the locked door and use the Iktomisaur's high jump to get on the blue platforms. These platforms go all the way up to the third mechanism.
Players can also find a purple Spiritstone on the way up; use the Iktomisaur's ability on it to gain a boosted high jump, which can help the ascent. Activate the third mechanism to complete the circle structure above the door.
Once again, use the Iktomisaur's ability on the circle to open the door. Note that opening the door will officially unlock The Lone Isle Named Night quest. Enter the room, and drop down through the hole in the floor.
Read the diary on the table in the room to start some dialogue, which will end up with the Traveler activating the incubator for the Saurian egg. This will trigger the dormant enemy in the room, so be ready to fight.
Another Tenebrous Mimiflora will start to attack the player. Defeat it to trigger another round of dialogue, which leads to the end of the quest. Then, teleport back to the island's waypoint to leave the chamber.
The Lone Isle Named Night is part of the quest line called In the Footsteps of the Chosen of Dragons, unlocked by starting any of the quests in the latter's quest chain. There is no particular order required for these quests.
