To start Is Intensity Really the Key?, players will need to complete Lost in the Woods. In order to do the former quest, you need to have unlocked your Saurian buddy, which you will do in the latter quest.

Go to a Hot Spring at the Western Side of Atocpan

Is Intensity Really the Key? is located in Atocpan, in the nation of Natlan. You can reach the quest area by going to the Teleport Waypoint near the Fallingstar Fields and travel south until you reach a hot spring.

After reaching the hot spring, talk to Ma'chah. You will find him taking a dip in the hot spring. A cutscene will start after interacting with Ma'chah.

Seal the geothermal vent

After the cutscene, follow your Saurian buddy to a geothermal vent. You can seal the geothermal vent by using a plunge attack. You can also indwell a nearby Tatankasaurus Spiritsconce and use a normal attack to seal the geothermal vent.

After sealing the geothermal vent, a cutscene will start and you will speak to Linaha. The quest officially starts after the cutscene.

Continue to follow your Saurian buddy to locate two other geothermal vents in order to finish the quest.

2nd geothermal vent

You can find the 2nd geothermal vent across the hot spring, opposite of Linaha. You can also find a Tatankasaurus Spiritsconce above a small plateau near the geothermal vent.

3rd geothermal vent

You can find the 3rd geothermal vent at southwest of the 2nd geothermal vent. You can only seal the 3rd geothermal vent after destroying the crates blocking the nearby Phlogiston spout.
