Quest: #1 Lost in the Woods |
Players will need to complete Lost in the Woods before accessing Sauro-Vet's Dilemma, as the quest requires the use of Saurian indwelling to complete its objectives.
Sauro-Vet's Dilemma can be found on a wooden platform directly east of the Flower-Feather Clan area. There will be a Qucusaurus walking around a woman who is standing on top of some boxes in the middle of the platform.
Once you arrive at the marked area and approach the Qucusaurus and the woman, a brief cutscene will occur. Afterwards, you will have to fight the Qucusaurus to calm it down.
After combat, the woman will introduce herself as Mazkal, a Saurian veterinarian. She explains that she needs Kururuk to take medicines as it is injured, and the Traveler agrees to have their Tepetlisaur companion help give the medicines.
The game will then switch to controlling the Tepetlisaur companion, who must chase after Kururuk using the nearby terrain. Kururuk will flee when approached, until it crashes into a mountainside. Follow it to its crash site.
Once you catch up to Kururuk, there will be a prompt to give either medicine to the incapacitated Qucusaurus. Giving the Medicine of Greater Efficacy leads to another fight with Kururuk.
It is currently unconfirmed what the Medicine of Superior Taste leads to, but this page will be updated as soon as info is available. Stay tuned!
After Kururuk is given the stronger medicine, you will need to knock it out in combat one more time. Be wary of the terrain, as the area is small and you may end up falling if you are knocked back or are not paying attention.
Once Kururuk is unconscious, return to Mazkal who is waiting near the wooden platform you originally found her at. She will give her thanks when you speak with her, ending the quest after your conversation.
Sauro-Vet's Dilemma is a subquest of the Natlan World Quest chain, In the Footsteps of the Chosen of Dragons. The quest chain can be started by encountering any of its quests, with no particular order required.
