Quest: #1 Lost in the Woods |
The only requirement for this quest is to unlock Natlan. Gifts and Gifts in Return becomes available as soon as the player can reach its location.
Gifts and Gifts in Return Walkthrough
Unlock Rest Area
Finding and doing this quest also unlocks the Rest Area, where the Traveler and the pet Saurian can take a rest outside of Natlan in a pocket dimension. The pillars that serve as the entrance can be found at the foot of a waterfall southwest of Tepeacac Rise in Natlan.
Certain quests, including this one, will give special souvenirs that will show up in the Rest Area!
Talk to your Saurian companion
Once inside the Rest Area, your pet Saurian will start burrowing around until the encampment site. Simply follow them until he goes above ground once again to truly start the World Quest.
Look for a jeweler's shop in the Children of Echoes
Among the gifts your pet Saurian gives you is a stone that looks like a gem. By Paimon's idea, head back to the Children of Echoes and look for a jeweler's shop in the middle of the tribe.
Speak to the apprentice at the shop
Once near the jeweler's shop, interact with the apprentice Imix.
Look for the jeweler at the place he's gathering inspiration
Through Imix's suggestion, she tells you to look for the jeweler who is around Tepeacac Rise. Their location is pretty close to where the Rest Area is.
Speak with the Gem Master
In the middle of conversation with the Gem Master, a bird steals away the Gemstone that was going to be appraised by the Master.
Retrieve the lost gem and the tools
Revealing that the birds also stole the Gem Master's tools, indwell into a Yumakasaurus to retrieve the gem and the tools in one fell swoop.
How to Retrieve the Lost Gem and Tools

 The first location will glimmer as soon as you are able too. Use the Yumakasaurus's ability to zipline to the first location. |
| 2 |  After obtaining the item, the two other locations will show up through glimmers from afar. |
| 3 |  Go for the nearer location first, which is perched on top of another tree like the first location. |
| 4 |  The final location is where the Gemstone is, and is found at the edge of the cliff. |
Report back to the Gem Master
Once all three have been obtained, head back to where the Gem Master is located when first tranforming into a Yumakasaurus.
Wait until two days later
The Gem Master tells you to wait for two days (in-game) in order for him to work on the Gemstone you gave him.
You can do other quests while waiting for this one to properly pop up, but for faster clearing, use the time mechanic.
Go to the gemporium to retrieve the gem
After two days have passed, go to where you found Imix earlier to retrieve the Gemstone that has been turned into Jewelry. This marks the end of the World Quest!
Gemstone Jewelry in Rest Area
The Gemstone Jewelry can actually be found in the Rest Area after the completion of this quest! It can be found on one of the boxes behind your pet Saurian.
