To unlock the Palace of the Vision Serpent quest, complete the Adventure in the Land of Mists quest first.

Palace of the Vision Serpent Walkthrough

Enter the Ruins

After the dialogue with Bona, head down the stairs and glide down. At the bottom, you'll see a path leading to a gated ruin. To the right, there is a path leading to a cave where some Hilichurls appear.

Defeat the Hilichurls and go into the cave where you'll see an opening. Glide down the hole and you'll find the ruins where the Chu'ulel Light Core is located.

Approach the Suspicious Core

To approach the suspicious core, you'll need to cleanse the filth that's in the way first. Head to the Radiant Pillar you see on your left and pick up the Radiant Fragments near it. Place them in the pillar to cleanse the filth around the area.

Remove the Abyssal Vortice

After getting the common chest, take both Radiant Fragments from the pillar and head to the right where an Abyssal Vortice is. Use one fragment on the pillar next to it to cleanse it and open the doorway.

Try to Clear the Abyssal Corruption Out

Now that you're near the core, you need to clear the Abyssal Corruption plaguing it using Radiant Pillars and Radiant Fragments. Head to the first Radiant Pillar just down the path. Keep in mind that you'll be needing two Radiant Fragments on each Pillar to fully cleanse the Abyssal Corruption!

Since you have an extra fragment from earlier, use that on the first pillar to activate it and cleanse the filth around it.

Head to the Second Radiant Pillar

From the first Radiant Pillar, move down the path and glide through the gap. It will be located just northwest of the first pillar. To get the Radiant Fragments for this one, you'll have to use an elevator in the room behind the pillar.

Use the Elevator and Head Down

Go to the left and enter the room behind the Radiant Pillar. Use the elevator to head down and then freely extract the first Radiant Fragment from the pillar. Move forward and see another pillar, a switch, and a gate.

Take the Radiant Fragment and Open the Gate

Take the second Radiant Fragment from the pillar and then use the switch to open the gate. Go back up to the second Radiant Pillar and use both to activate it and cleanse the filth from the core.

Head to the Third Radiant Pillar

From the second Radiant Pillar, move down the path and glide to see the third pillar. It is located just east of the second pillar. To get the Radiant Fragments for this one, cleanse the Abyssal Vortice to its left.

Take the Fragment and Clear Abyssal Vortice

Near the Abyssal Vortice, you'll see a Radiant Fragment. Pick it up and then use it on the pillar next to the Vortice to clear it. You'll see a Pyroculus in the opening, so go through it and glide down.

Take the Rust-Spotted Key

A short cutscene happens once you glide down. In the small room, go near the wooden shelf and pick up the Rust-Spotted Key. Use the switch next to the gate and the elevator will go down. Use the elevator and go back up.

Get Radiant Fragment and Use the Key on Switch

Exit the elevator and head back to the now-destroyed pillar next to the Abyssal Vortice. Take the Radiant Fragment and move forward until you see the barrier. Use the Rust-Spotted Key on the switch next to it to remove it.

Take Radiant Fragment From the Pillar

Now you'll be back to the entrance of the cave. Go to the pillar next to the pathway you opened earlier and take the Radiant Fragment from it. Now that you have two fragments again, go back to the third Radiant Pillar.

Use Fragments on the Third Radiant Pillar

Use both Radiant Fragments on the third and final Radiant Pillar to cleanse the filth from the core. After using them, a cutscene will trigger. Once done, glide down to the center where the core has fallen.

Investigate the Suspicious Fallen Core

Glide down and approach the core. Once you get close to it, monsters will start appearing and they will attack the core.

Protect the Fallen Core and Repel the Monsters

Monsters will continuously spawn around the core, so you have to protect it from them. Continue to battle them until they all stop spawning.

After the monsters are defeated, a Luxurious Chest will spawn and you'll also obtain another Pyrophosphorite chunk.

Meet Up With Bona

Go back up to the ground and talk with Bona to tell her about your findings. This marks the end of the Palace of the Vision Serpent quest!
