| In general, Skirk is a fluid DPS that is easy to control and Overworld-friendly. As she has no need for Energy, as long as you can satisfy her Freeze-specific talents, her rotations and damage output are always accessible. If your account has Escoffier, Skirk performs as one of the meta-defining DPS alongside Mavuika. If you don't have Escoffier, she will not be as groundbreaking but still solid enough as her rotations and team compositions will functionally remain the same. |

Skirk Ascension and Talent Materials
| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
• Incredibly easy to use thanks to her fluid combos and built-in interruption resistance. • Elemental Skill can last for a long time if Void Rifts are generated at stable intervals. • Allows for a sustained damage playstyle utilizing her enhanced Normal Attacks, or a frontloaded burst playstyle with her Elemental Burst. |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
| • Skirk is locked to Freeze teams as placing her anywhere else reduces her to a fraction of her actual power due to her reliance on her passives and specific exclusive allies such as Furina and Escoffier. |
While Skirk's artifact stat breakpoints may differ based on her artifact set, she will still focus on CRIT stats and ATK to achieve comfortable damage breakpoints for her damage in Freeze teams.
Due to Skirk's Elemental Burst using a different form of currency and her Void Rift passive benefitting from Frozen teams, avoid Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery entirely as stats.

Skirk is built as a typical Cryo ATK DPS that benefits from CRIT stats to improve her damage.
As she is a Cryo unit that benefits from Freeze teams the most, this build is meant to emphasize her personal damage in her ideal scenarios.
| Stat | Goal Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 2,100 or above |
| CRIT Rate | 70% - 80% |
| CRIT DMG | 200% or above |
Skirk's main focus should be on her ATK% and CRIT Rate, so look to get those stats to these breakpoints, then focus any remainder on CRIT DMG.

| Elemental Skill | Elemental Burst | Normal Attack |
Most of Skirk's damage comes from her Elemental Skill and should be leveled up first, followed by her Elemental Burst to increase both the bonus damage from Havoc: Extinction and Havoc: Ruin's Burst damage.
Her Normal Attacks can be saved for last as Skirk will only be utilizing them during her Elemental Skill's cooldown.
When looking into Skirk's artifact choices, Finale of the Deep Galleries stands out as her tailor-made option as its 4-pc. passive heavily synergizes with her kit.
Other standard options include 4-pc. Blizzard Strayer as a general Cryo DPS, and 4-pc. Marechaussee Hunter if used with Furina.

Skirk's main weapon of choice is her signature weapon Azurelight for its ATK and CRIT DMG bonus, complementing her damage kit.
Alternatively, Skirk can also make use of most general CRIT sticks, but weapons like Haran Geppaku Futsu and Mistsplitter Reforged can work for their Normal Attack-enhancing passive and Elemental DMG bonus passive respectively.

Skirk's potential shines the most in Freeze teams due to her requiring Cryo and Hydro teammates to fully take advantage of the Void Rifts. However, this also only locks her to Freeze teams in most cases.
Pairing Skirk with the likes of Escoffier and two Hydro units like Furina and either Xingqiu and Yelan can do wonders as that nets Skirk the highest amount of Serpent's Subtlety.
| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
|
|
Sub-DPS/Support Escoffier's RES shred, Sub-DPS damage, and Healing capabilities make her a premier support for both Skirk and Furina, with the trio making up the Freeze team's core. |
|
|
Sub-DPS/Support Furina's Hydro Application, Sub-DPS damage and Elemental DMG bonus buffs are among the best in the game bar none. |
|
|
Support Shenhe increases overall Cryo and team damage while providing a decent level of Cryo application for the team. Usually taken as a Flex member in premium teams. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Provides a near-unconditional Elemental DMG bonus buff as well as solid Hydro DPS and Elemental Application. Often takes a flex slot for premium teams, or replaces Furina if she is not available. |
|
|
Sub-DPS A side-grade to Yelan with similar Hydro application and damage, but brings defensive damage reduction to the team instead of offense. Xingqiu is usually taken as a flex member. |
|
|
Support Brings solid shielding potential along with Hydro RES shred. Good as a final support member for Skirk's teams if Escoffier is not available. |
|
|
Support Kokomi serves as a good option for potent healing and Hydro application. Can take the place of Escoffier if she is not available, also allowing you to slot in a Cryo unit like Shenhe. |
|
|
Support Mona provides Hydro Application and bonus DMG when casting her Elemental Burst, giving Skirk a small window where she does enhanced damage. |
|
|
Support 4-star shielder variant that supports the team with survivability and Noblesse Oblige procs, as well as trace benefits from other parts of his kit. Often taken as a support member if no other option is available. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Buffs Skirk's CRIT Rate with enough constellations. Offers not much else besides damage and Cryo resonance. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Provides solid team Energy generation and a simple off-field way to Sub-DPS. Has low damage ceilings and is mostly taken for Cryo resonance. |
|
|
Support A cryo shielder option similar to Dahlia. Offers nothing else but her shield and is taken as a support option if no one else is available. |
|
|
Support Dedicated Hydro Support mainly made for healing. Lowers overall team DMG due to being unable to contribute and is mainly taken as a hydro member if you are lacking other options. |

Though not as effective as her Premium options, Skirk can still utilize less potent variations of her Freeze comps, especially if your team options are low-investment.
This provides some wiggle-room for Skirk's team-building as that allows her to function with more teammates, but comes at the cost of lowering the team's overall DPS until Skirk picks up more premium teams.

|---|---|
| C1 |
Far to Fall Enhances the effects of the Passive Talent Reason Beyond Reason: Every Void Rift absorbed will summon a crystal blade to attack nearby opponents, dealing 500% of Skirk's ATK as Cryo DMG. This DMG is considered Charged Attack DMG. You must first unlock the Passive Talent Reason Beyond Reason. |
| C2 |
Into the Abyss After unleashing her Elemental Skill Havoc: Warp, Skirk will gain 10 additional Serpent's Subtlety points. When using her Elemental Burst Havoc: Ruin, the DMG of this Elemental Burst instance will be increased by taking up to 10 more Serpent's Subtlety points into account. Additionally, within 12.5s after Skirk unleashes the special Elemental Burst Havoc: Extinction while in her Seven-Phase Flash mode, her ATK is increased by 70%. This effect will be canceled when she leave the Seven-Phase Flash Mode. |
| C3 |
Serendipitous Sin Increases the Level of Havoc: Ruin by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C4 |
Fractured Flow Enhances the effects of the Passive Talent Return to Oblivion: Each Death's Crossing stack also increases Skirk's ATK by 10%/20%/40%. You must first unlock the Passive Talent Return to Oblivion. |
| C5 |
End of Wishes Increases the Level of Havoc: Warp by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C6 |
To The Source Each Void Rift Skirk absorbs via the effects of the Passive Talent Reason Beyond Reason will grant her 1 Havoc: Sever stack. She can consume such stacks to initiate coordinated attacks and decrease the damage she takes while in Seven-Phase Flash mode. These stacks last for 15s, and each stack's duration is counted independently (max 3 stacks). You must first unlock the Passive Talent "Reason Beyond Reason." Havoc: Sever · When Skirk uses the Elemental Burst Havoc: Ruin, she will consume all Havoc: Sever stacks to initiate a coordinated attack in which each Havoc: Sever stack will deal 750% of Skirk's ATK as Cryo DMG. This DMG is considered Elemental Burst DMG. · When she uses Normal Attacks while in Seven-Phase Flash mode, 1 Havoc:Sever stack will be consumed when her third or fifth sequenced attacks hit an opponent to launch 3 coordinated attacks. Each coordinated attack deals 180% of Skirk's ATK as Cryo DMG. This damage is considered Normal Attack DMG. · When Skirk takes DMG while in Seven-Phase Flash mode, 1 Havoc: Sever stack will be consumed to decrease this DMG instance by 80% and attack nearby opponent 3 times, with each attack dealing 180% of Skirk's ATK as Cryo DMG. This DMG is considered Charged Attack DMG. |
| Rating | Constellation Effect / Merits | |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | ★★★ | • Summons a Crystal Blade that deals 500% of Skirk's ATK DMG when absorbing a Void Rift. |
| C2 | ★★☆ |
• Gain 10 more Serpent's Subtlety points when using Elemental Skill. These 10 points carry over to more DMG when using Elemental Burst. • Using Special Elemental Burst increases ATK by 70% if Skirk is in Seven-Phase Flash mode. |
| C4 | ★★☆ | • Each Death's Crossing stack increases Skirk's ATK by 10%/20%/40%. |
Skirk's entire kit is incredibly solid even at C0, and she requires no Constellation breakpoint to get the most out of her, as investing more into her teammates will yield greater benefits.
However, getting Skirk's C1 can offer more Burst damage for her as she will likely generate plenty of Void Rifts to absorb, thus offering more damage in total.
Skirk's passive abilities prefer Cryo reactions, but with more emphasis on Freeze as her passive specifically prefers Hydro and Cryo party members to activate the bonus.
Because of these talents, we expect her to be great with Escoffier, who is the best-in-slot for Freeze teams, and Furina, who synergize well with Escoffier's heals.
| Havoc: Sunder |
|---|
| Performs up to 5 consecutive attacks.
Charge Attack Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to hurl a spinning crystal spear, dealing DMG to opponents ahead. Plunge Attack: Plunging from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact. |
| Havoc: Warp |
|---|
| Imitates the combat style of "The Foul." Produces different effects depending on whether you Tap or Hold. Tap Skirk gains 45 Serpent's Subtlety and switches to Seven-Phase Flash mode. Hold Skirk gains 45 Serpent's Subtlety and will continuously move at high speed. Her interruption resistance is increased in this state. During this time, Skirk can control her movement direction and move atop water. She can also use this Skill again to end rapid movement prematurely. Serpent's Subtlety Skirk can consume Serpent's Subtlety to maintain her Seven-Phase Flash mode or to use her Elemental Burst, Havoc: Ruin. Skirk can gain Serpent's Subtlety points in the following ways: • After using her Elemental Skill, Havoc: Warp. • After triggering the effect of her Passive Talent, "Reason Beyond Reason," when absorbing Void Rifts. When Skirk leaves the field while in Seven-Phase Flash mode or when Seven-Phase Flash mode ends, her Serpent's Subtlety points will be removed. Seven-Phase Flash Skirk will switch to this mode for a fixed time when using the Elemental Skill Havoc: Warp. This mode has the following properties: • Continuously consumes Serpent's Subtlety. • Increases Normal and Charged Attack AoE and Skirk's interruption resistance. • Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks are converted to Cryo DMG that cannot be overriden by other Elemental infusions. • Her Elemental Burst, Havoc: Ruin is converted to the special Elemental Burst Havoc: Extinction. • Skirk can move on water when she Sprints. • Skirk will exit this mode when Serpent's Subtlety is fully depleted or its duration ends. Then, the Elemental Skill will go on cooldown. |
In combat, Skirk is an on-field Cryo character who enhances her Normal Attacks after using her tap Elemental Skill. This form is the Seven-Phase Flash mode which gives Skirk Cryo infusion and increased resistance to interruption.
In addition, using her Elemental Skill will also give Serpent's Subtlety points to Skirk, which is used for her Elemental Burst.
Similar to Mavuika's Fighting Spirit, Skirk does not use regular energy for her Elemental Burst and instead uses Serpent's Subtlety. Serpent's Subtlety is gained through her Elemental Skill or activating her Cryo-specific passives, which is why such teams are going to be mandatory for her.
When Skirk has enough Serpent's Subtlety points, she can activate her normal Elemental Burst, which damages enemies and also expends all of her Serpent's Subtlety. Her Elemental Burst damage also increases in potency based on the extra Serpent's Subtlety points.
This Elemental Burst playstyle is for bursty one-shots.
| Havoc: Extinction |
|---|
| A special Elemental Burst that can be used even without consuming Serpent's Subtlety.
After using it, Skirk will gain the "All Shall Wither" effect, which will last until Seven-Phase Flash ends. After unlocking the Passive Talent Reason Beyond Reason, she can also absorb nearby Void Rifts. While "All Shall Wither" is active, every 0.1s, after Skirk's Normal Attack hits an opponent, that Normal Attack will deal increased DMG. If she absorbed any Void Rifts while using Havoc: Extinction, this Normal Attack's DMG will be further increased based on the number of Rifts absorbed. This effect will be canceled when it has triggered 10 times. |
If Skirk is under her Elemental Skill form, Skirk can use her Special Elemental Burst that additionally increases her Normal Attack DMG and absorbs Void Rifts that further improves the bonus. This Normal Attack playstyle is used for longer fights.
| Havoc: Ruin |
|---|
| Skirk's Elemental Burst is not reliant on Elemental Energy but instead on Serpent's Subtlety.
When Skirk has at least 50 Serpent's Subtlety, she can expend all her Serpent's Subtlety to unleash her Elemental Burst, ripping the space before her aparta nd using rapid consecutive slashes that deal AoE Cryo DMG. At the same time, the DMG dealt by an instance of this Elemental Burst will be increased by every point of Serpent's Subtlety over 50 when it is unleashed. Up to 12 points can be counted for this purpose. When Skirk is in Seven-Phase Flash mode, Havoc: Ruin will be replaced by Havoc: Extinction. |
| Reason Beyond Reason |
|---|
| When nearby party members trigger Frozen, Superconduct, Cryo Swirl, or Cryo Crystallize reactions against opponents, a Void Rift will be created near this opponent. This effect can be triggered once every 2.5s. 3 Void Rifts created by Skirk herself can exist on the field at once.
Skirk can use the following methods to absorb nearby Void Rifts: • When she hits an opponent with a Charged Attack in her Seven-Phase Flash mode. • When she uses the special Elemental Burst Havoc: Extinction while in Seven-Phase Flash mode. • When she Holds her Elemental Skill Havoc: Warp to engage in rapid movement. Each Rift absorbed will grant her 8 Serpent's Subtlety stacks. |
When Cryo reactions like Frozen or Superconduct are triggered, Skirk will also create Void Rifts in the field, which she can absorb to gain more Serpent's Subtlety.
She can absorb the Void Rifts through holding Elemental Skill, or using her Charged Attack or special Elemental Burst during Seven-Phase Flash form.
| Return to Oblivion |
|---|
| When nearby Hydro party members' Hydro attacks hit opponents, or when Cryo party members apart from Skirk hit opponents with Cryo attacks, Skirk will gain the "Death's Crossing" effect for 20s. Max 3 stacks, each stack's duration is counted independently.
Each character can grant Skirk at most "Death's Crossing" stack by this means. Each "Death's Crossing" stack increases the Normal Attack DMG dealt by Skirk in Seven-Phase Flash mode to 110%/120%/170% of its original DMG and the DMG dealt when using her Elemental Burst Havoc: Ruin to 105%/115%/160% of its original DMG. |
Skirk can deal 170% Normal Attack DMG and 160% Burst DMG when paired with only Hydro and Cryo teammates.
This passive is the reason why separating her from a Freeze team significantly stunts her damage.
| Mutual Weapons Mentorship |
|---|
| When all party members are either Hydro or Cryo, and if there is at least 1 Hydro and 1 Cryo character, your own party members' Elemental Skill Level is increased by 1. |
One extra level to Elemental Skill can help ensure that Skirk and her teammates are able to do more damage with their main skills.

Chapter: Crystallina Act 1: Whispers Betwixt Stars and Night |

According to Tartaglia's 4th Character Story, he met a mysterious swordswoman in the Abyss who taught him how to survive and how to fight. From Tartaglia's voiceline about Skirk, she can beat him with just one hand.
This means two things: Skirk is unbelievably strong and she's a being related to the Abyss.
Tartaglia Story and Voice Actor

As stated in Childe's Namecard, his Foul Legacy was not originally his. Instead, it was taught to him by a solitary girl from the darkest corners of the universe taught him the Foul Legacy. This implies that Skirk is an incredibly formidable swordsman hailing from the Abyss.

Skirk made her in-game debut in Chapter 4 Act 5 Archon Quest: Masquerade of the Guilty. She aided the Traveler and Neuvillette in the battle against the All-Devouring Narwhal.
Chapter 4 Act 5 Archon Quest Guide

In the encounter with Skirk, she says that her master is Surtalogi and that he's a being similar to Rhinedottir who is pursuing some form of perfection. He also owns the All-Devouring Narwhal as a pet.
She also revealed that the Gnosis is the remains of the Third Descender to Neuvillette and will likely cause misfortune to those who hold it. This prompts Nuevillette give it to Arlecchino.

It’s been years since I last saw my master. I should hope that next we meet, I’ll at least be able to force her to use both hands to beat me… |

Alice
|
About Alice Promise: As the Sustainer of the World's Borders, she tolerates my presence, but she did make me promise not to interfere too much with this world's affairs. That was fine by me, but I had to know the reason why. She said, many ecologists find it emotionally overwhelming when they observe the animal kingdom and see the predators hunting and the prey fleeing — but they'll never interfere in the process. Instead, they allow the laws of nature to take precedence over their own emotions. In her own words, "some call this being a callous observer, but I think it's merciful at the same time." Gratitude: On one of the times that we met, she urged me to listen to the voice of my heart, and "learn how to enjoy my present life." She was being sincere and showing she cared, and for that I ought to thank her. |
Dainsleif
|
About Dainsleif At one time, he was Master's rival. At another, they were best friends, apparently... I had hoped he might give me some more information about Master, but the moment he recognized my style of bladework, he got very agitated and demanded to know Master's whereabouts. I don't want to deal with him. Hopefully I don't run into him again any time soon. |
Dori
|
About Dori Ah, yeah, the shrewd merchant. She's one of Alice's friends. I occasionally sell rare monster carcasses to her, since I need Mora to get by in Teyvat. She's made a pretty good impression on me so far — never asks about my background, at least. I don't know how fair her prices are, but I also don't care: I only need enough to get by, any extra would be wasted on me. |
Neuvillette
|
About Neuvillette Lost power is always reclaimed in the end, in some shape or form. But where will this power lead? To a trial? To revenge? Or toward a new future? It's a question that strikes at the heart of his quest to find the meaning of his existence, and perhaps deep down he already has his answer. |
Nicole
|
About Nicole I wonder if becoming human was an evolution or regression to her? How did it feel, witnessing the self-destruction of her species firsthand? I considered asking her these questions when we first met, but... given her personality, I thought better of it. I think I'll just leave her alone to work on her sculptures. |
Surtalogi
|
About Surtalogi Very few people manage to earn themselves a name like "The Foul" and live up to it. I'm sure whoever gave him that name must have truly despised him. Master's certainly done his fair share of disgraceful things, and the fact that he is a former knight who turned his back on the chivalric code doesn't exactly make things any better. And yet, plenty of people still choose to follow him. They're drawn to his strength, composure, and confidence, and the fact that he's candid with everyone regardless of their background. He's not driven by emotion — he's on a mission to become a version of himself that is complete and perfected... That's why he's as powerful as he is. It's also why he's so dangerous. |
Tartaglia
|
About Tartaglia He's improved — next time we spar, I might even use both hands. Ajax has a lot of talent and he is fearless in battle, which gives him the potential to develop great strength. But I've seen many other bright sparks like him fizzle out before ever reaching their prime. If he truly wants to become the person he dreams of being, he still has a long road ahead. |
The Will of the Moon
|
About The Will of the Moon I once saw the three moons of Teyvat when I was passing through the false sky. Two are utterly destroyed, their lifeless remains drifting aimlessly through space. The one that remains intact shows no signs of life either, but its will has not faded completely. Maybe there's a chance that one day, a glimmer of truth will emerge in the false sky — a truth belonging to this world alone. |
