As a Main DPS Zibai comes in as the third Lunar-focused DPS, introducing Lunar-Crystallize as her premier Elemental Reaction. As opposed to being an augment to an already powerful reaction, Lunar-Crystallize itself becomes a hybrid that functions similarly to Lunar-Charged except that it scales with DEF and not ATK, putting Zibai in a similar position to Flins in terms of DPS and rotation. However, and similarly to Nefer, Zibai suffers from extremely limited team comps that hinders her from being a more accessible pick, as she would prefer to have Illuga, which is only available alongside her as of now, and Columbina, who will then need to be taken away from the other Lunar teams. However, Gorou exists as an alternative, helping to mitigate this visible disadvantage if you do not have Illuga, which is a plus that she has against Lunar-Bloom's more restrictive teambuilding. Despite this nuance, Zibai's ease of use and ease of building allows her to take advantage of the current meta, with Lunar-Crystallize likely to be in relevance for at least the rest of Nod-Krai, therefore making her and her teams aptly relevant for as long. Lastly, it should be noted that if you have Columbina and she is already being used as a core member of Flins' Lunar-Charged or Nefer's Lunar-Bloom teams, Zibai's pull urgency is lowered as those two teams can already comfortably clear the Endgame landscape without much issues. |

| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
• Premier DPS for Lunar-Crystallize, also serving as a frontloaded DPS that can decimate most of endgame content. • Damage scalings take advantage of Lunar-Crystallize, and can scale particularly high by virtue of being a Lunar Reaction. • Hydro and Geo teammates in her party increase her own Elemental Mastery and DEF, respectively. • Restores Elemental Energy at night, allowing her to always have her Burst up during night exploration. | |||
| Weaknesses | |||
|
• Restrictive teambuilding, with her use cases tethered to Geo and Hydro teammates, and her niche requiring her to have Nod-Krai-specific characters. • Highly benefits from Columbina, which is also a weakness since Columbina may already be used in other Lunar teams. |

Zibai's main playstyle is centered around Lunar-Crystallize as a whole. She primarily uses her Elemental Skill to infuse her attacks with Geo and accrue Phase Shift Radiance in order to unleash a Special Skill.
Her abilities all scale with DEF, so it is imperative to build her with as much DEF as possible to increase her damage overall as the Main DPS of the team.

Zibai is a character that scales only with DEF, meaning ATK stats will see less value on her. Naturally, you'd want to stack as much DEF as you can to effectively increase her damage.
It is much more recommended to focus on other stats over Energy Recharge as she is more Skill oriented and her Burst, while is a good source of damage, pales in comparison to the damage that her Skill dishes out.
| Stat | Goal Value |
|---|---|
| DEF | 2,500+ |
| CRIT Rate | 40~50% before Night of the Sky's Unveiling CRIT Rate bonus |
| CRIT DMG | 175% or Above |
| Elemental Mastery | 100 - 200 |
| Energy Recharge | 110 - 130% |
Similar to most Nod-Krai DPS units, Zibai wants to have a healthy amount of DEF and CRIT stats to deal heavy damage with her Empowered Elemental Skill, so these should be focused first.
Elemental Mastery is welcome as that supplements her Lunar-Crystallize DMG, and Energy Recharge can be great as excess substats if you are looking to use her Elemental Burst more often.

| Elemental Skill | Elemental Burst | Normal Attack |
Zibai's whole playstyle revolves around her Elemental Skill and its enhanced state, making it her main source of frontloaded damage, therefore making it the highest priority talent to level.
Elemental Burst will be her second priority, as it does give a decent amount of damage when you weave it into her rotation. Lastly, her Normal Attacks can be left alone as it generally does not contribute to her overall damage.
Night of the Sky's Unveiling is by far her best artifact set to use, and no other sets come close in terms of performance. The 4-pc set bonus is easily activated thanks to her being a Lunar-Crystallized DPS, and naturally wanting a Moonsign unit on her teams.
A very distant second would be Husk of Opulent Dreams because of its DEF scaling, but the Geo DMG is quite redundant for Lunar-Crystallize. You can also opt for a 2-pc DEF and 2-pc Elemental Mastery pairing, but you won’t find much value compared to the alternative.
Having said that, we highly recommend using Night of the Sky’s Unveiling on Zibai due to how synergistic it is with her playstyle.

| Stat Priority | ||
|---|---|---|
| Substats: CRIT Rate>CRIT DMG> DEF%> Elemental Mastery> Energy Recharge |
||
| Summary: • Her damage primarily scales with DEF, so its imperative to stack as much of it to increase her damage overall. • CRIT Rate will find more value over CRIT DMG because Zibai has an abundance of the latter due to her ascension stat. That being said, a 1:2 ratio is still ideal to have a balanced CRIT value. • Elemental Mastery will increase her DMG more than with Energy Recharge as her Elemental Burst finds less value compared to her Elemental Skill. It's recommended to just Burst every other rotation. • Geo DMG% on Goblet is not good as Lunar Reactions do not scale with DMG% bonuses. |

List of Artifacts and Set Bonuses
Lightbearing Moonshard is her best-in-slot weapon due to its Lunar-Crystallize and DEF increases, resulting in the highest augment to her damage.
Uraku Misugiri is a very good alternative as it also complements her playstyle by increasing Normal Attack DMG and Elemental Skill DMG, further increasing when Geo DMG is dealt, with an additional DEF increase on top of it.
F2P options are Harbinger of Dawn for CRIT value that potentially have 100% uptime with dedicated healers, and Flute of Ezpitzal, which increases DEF when using Elemental Skill.

Zibai shines best in teams that are dedicated to Lunar-Crystallize and with Moonsign Characters to activate her Ascendant Gleam. Columbina, Illuga, or Aino are great options to pair her with to complement her playstyle and satisfy the aforementioned caveats.
It is technically still possible to play her without another Moonsign character, but her damage will be significantly lower as she’ll find difficulty accruing Phase Shift Radiance. Therefore, it is not recommended to play her outside of Moonsign teams.
| Character | Explanation |

Support Illuga is ahead of the curve when it comes to supporting Zibai, as he is tailor-made for her by significantly increasing Lunar-Crystallize DMG and further increasing it when the team consists only of Hydro or Geo characters. |
|
|
Sub-DPS/Support As the premier Lunar Reaction buffer, it is no surprise that Columbina finds herself in Zibai's team. Significantly increased Lunar DMG, and as a Hydro character, allows Lunar-Crystallize. She is by far the best Hydro slot for Zibai in team building. |
|
|
Support Gorou serves as a DEF buffer, and further increases with more Geo Characters. Zibai already has an innate synergy with Illuga, who are both Geo Characters, alleviating the condition of Gorou's buffs. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Chiori is appreciative of Zibai's Lunar-Crystallize as she can easily create another Tamoto with the Moondrifts. She provides off-field Geo DMG in tandem with Zibai's rotation. |

Lunar-Crystallize is her best-case scenario in team building, as her entire playstyle centers around it. Having a Moonsign character along is an added benefit that allows her to have access to her Ascendant Gleam, dealing an additional Lunar-Crystallize DMG on her Normal Attack string.
Illuga and/or Columbina are her premier supports as they can easily increase the Lunar-Crystallize DMG that Zibai unleashes during her rotation.

Not many options are going on with the F2P teams, but nonetheless, they're still viable. As per the standard, you’d want to pair Zibai with Hydro and Geo units in order to trigger her Lunar-Reaction.
Aino and Jahoda are great Moonsign characters to pair her with, but be mindful of Jahoda's gameplay as she takes a lot of field time to function.

The Spirit Passes, Then Form Follows While in the Lunar Phase Shift mode, Zibai's Normal Attack sequence will not reset, and when Spirit Steed's Stride hits opponents, Zibai will gain the "Scattermoon Splendor" effect: The next time she uses Normal Attacks, the additional attack from her 4th hit will deal 250% of the original damage as Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG. |

| C6 |
The World, A Journey in Passing While Zibai is in the Lunar Phase Shift mode, her Phase Shift Radiance gain rate is increased by 50%. Additionally, Spirit Steed's Stride will change such that it will consume all Phase Shift Radiance. This will elevate the DMG dealt by this instance of Spirit Steed's Stride and the Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG dealt by Zibai within the next 3s by 1.6% for every point consumed above 70. This effect cannot stack. |
| Rating | Constellation Effect / Merits | |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | ★★☆ |
• Allows Zibai to immediately unleash Special Elemental Skill upon first casting her Elemental Skill. • Special Elemental Skill can be casted 5 times in one rotation instead of 4. • The first Special Elemental Skill used does 220% more DMG on its second hit. |
| C2 | ★★★ |
• Lunar-Crystallize DMG increased by 30%. • 2nd hit of Special Elemental Skill DMG is increased by 550% of Zibai's DEF. |
| C4 | ★★☆ |
• Normal Attack animations do not reset while in Elemental Skill state. • Special Elemental Skill hits will cause the 4th Empowered Normal Attack to deal 250% of its original DMG as Lunar-Crystallize DMG. |
If you are looking to invest further into Zibai's frontloaded kit, C1 gives the easiest notable increase by giving you an extra Special Elemental Skill cast and a more frontloaded first usage of it.
However, Zibai's C2 increases the DMG of her entire kit by 30% and making parts of her Special Skill scale more with DEF, making C2 her Best Constellation if you can reach it.
| Simple DPS Rotation |
|---|
| Elemental Skill → Normal Attack x4 → Special Elemental Skill |
Zibai's main damage rotation boils down to hitting Normal Attacks in her Elemental Skill's state until she can cast her Special Elemental Skill to deal massive Lunar-Crystallize damage.
Elemental Burst is used either before or after her rotation depending on its availability.
Zibai's main method of dealing damage are via her Normal Attacks and her Elemental Skill's Special State, allowing her to deal frequent instances of Geo and Lunar-Crystallize damage.
Lunar-Crystallize Reaction Guide
Zibai's presence allows the team to trigger Lunar-Crystallize, giving her Elemental Skill both Geo and Lunar-Crystallize damage instances, as well as being buffed when using her normal Elemental Skill or triggering Moondrift Harmony.
When in this Special State, Zibai's Normal Attacks and Lunar-Crystallize procs allow her to accumulate energy for a special gauge, with the gauge filling up over time on its own but sped up by the mentioned actions.
When the gauge reaches an adequate point, Zibai can deal a single instance of large Geo and Lunar-Crystallize damage via her "Spirit Steed's Stride" Special Elemental Skill, which expends the charge in the Special State bar.
Zibai's Elemental Burst seems to be a frontloaded attack that deals AoE Geo DMG in an area, and seems to function as a Geo Nuke.
This is likely used to start or end damage rotations depending on its availability.
Due to Zibai's connection to the Moon, one of her passive talents allows her to regenerate Elemental Energy passively during the night, ensuring that you will almost always have your Elemental Burst at the ready.
