How to Unlock Durin's Story Quest
Complete the Prerequisite Quests
You can unlock Durin's Story Quest Act 1, The Magic Known as Storytelling, by reaching at least Adventure Rank 40 and completing Song of the Welkin Moon: Act VI - Melting Moonlight in the Morning Mist.
Use Quick Start to Skip Archon Quest
During Version 6.2 Luna III, you can also use the Quick Start function to skip the required Archon Quest and start Durin's Story Quest immediately!
Subquests Unlock Every Server Reset
After completing a subquest in Durin's story quest, you must wait until server reset the next day to continue the next subquest. This means you will need at least five real life days to complete all subquests in this story quest.
Durin's Story Quest Act 1 Walkthrough
A Mother's Last Wish

| 1 |  Head to Starsand Shoal in Nod-Krai and look for Durin near Barrowmoss Barrens for the first cutscene. |
| 2 |  After talking with Alice and Durin, go inside the Mondstadt Library in the Knights of Favonius Headquarters in Mondstadt City and talk to Lisa. |
| 3 |  Search for the books Second Strongest Spell in Existence... by the potted plant in front of Lisa, ■■ Verses on the short shelf between tables, and Experiment Log No. ■■■ on the short shelf near the Library Rules. There will be other books in the area but they're not necessary for the quest. |
| 4 |  After collecting all the books in the area, talk to Lisa again and ask her about each book. You have the option to ask about Jumpty Dumpty Treasure Trove and The Boar Princess first. The quest will only progress once you've asked about the relevant books. |
| 5 |  Enter the world within the book by interacting with the floating book and selecting Open. This will trigger another cutscene. |
| 6 |  Once you're inside the story, interact with the witch at the table, the large pile of books, and the egg in the nest to continue. |
| 7 |  Use Durin's pyro attacks to help the dragon egg hatch! Traveler will also be part of the team you can use. |
Interlude: A Moment's Rest
After leaving the story world, Durin will agree to take a break and let the ink dry on the book. You will need to wait for server reset to continue the story quest.
A Prophecy From the Past

| 1 |  Teleport to Mondstadt City near the Knights of Favonius and look for Durin where you left him last time, east of the building. |
| 2 |  Head north and follow the traces of anemo on the ground until you get to the northern walls where Venti is waiting. |
| 3 |  Teleport to the Hexenzirkel Tea Party location near Falcon Coast, the same location as The Game Before the Gate weekly boss. |
| 4 |  You will need to play three pieces of music on a lyre, similar to the Dream Nursery quests. The note you have to play will light up until you play them and match the rhythm displayed on top of the screen. |
| 5 |  Once inside the Story World, turn right and approach the white table in the corner for the next cutscene. |
| 6 |  Choose a gift for the little dragon! There's no wrong answer between the warrior's sword, scholar's tome, or wandering hero's slingshot. You may get different dialogue depending on your choice. |
| 7 |  Approach the witches' table and join the celebration for the next cutscene! After which, you will have a final conversation with Durin that ends the subquest |
Interlude: A Moment's Rest
After the conversation with Durin, you'll agree to meet up again next time and Durin will be left on the cliff near the Hexenzirkel Tea Party rock. You will need to wait for server reset to continue the story quest.
