Nod-Krai brought us the Lunar Reactions, a new combat mechanic focused on amplifying existing reactions, but you can only play it as long as you have the correct character. How has the recent addition of this new mechanic affected Genshin Impact's meta? Read on for our first edition of the State of Meta featuring the new region: Nod-Krai!

Analysis on Meta Changes in Nod-Krai
- Lunar Reactions are a more restrictive Nightsoul.
- Only Nod-Krai 5-Stars can enable Lunar Reactions.
- Character checks in Endgame, as it continues to be tailored to newer characters.
- An average player with only F2P teams cannot fully clear endgame easily.
- Hexerei buffs on off-meta Mondstadt units are a good sign of improvement.
Lunar Reactions is the New Nightsoul, But With A Catch
Lunar Reactions were introduced as an exclusive Nod-Krai mechanic that alters the base effect and damage formula of existing reactions, like Electro-Charged and Bloom. This is reminiscent of the Nightsoul Mechanic in Natlan and the characters from that region that possess such abilities in their kit.

Anonymous 9 daysive to agree natlan chars can* deepen. For example, we met citlali, she got 500 years of potential to expand upon. Yet, she is just oldie who used to have rival friend. Ajaw can expanded upon too, one of pyro dragon kings creation, alongside other 12s(ineffa is one). Mavuika lore is fine. The problem for the most part is the rest of the characters. But when you look at other regions, it wasnt that different, dehya, kazuha, clorinde, etc. all just that, side characters.

thats why Natlan isnt as bad as people are saying imo. We learnt about ancient dragons more than before, even the architectures of the past! And theres angels connection too: theres essentially mass massacre of angels by pyro dragon. The pyro archonhood itself is so unique(unlike the rest). Btw the captain, one of the best harbingers, is introduced there, with sufficient backing in the story. That said, it still isnt my favourite region. In fact i dont have favorite. All are fair
