As a Main DPS Nefer is introduced as the premier On-Field option for Lunar-Bloom teams that uniquely interacts with Dendro cores by observing them and directly dealing Lunar-Bloom damage with her Charged Attacks, which only get powered up when the Ascendant Gleam Moonsign is present as this converts Dendro cores into Seeds of Deceit, resulting in more damage. This damage skyrockets in scale when Nefer is placed in her best teams, which involve Lauma as her main Lunar-Bloom Support unit, and this combination lets her rival the damage outputs of the top DPS units. If Lauma is not available, then Aino is also an option in order to activate Nefer's Seeds of Deceit via Ascendant Gleam. However, unlike a DPS like Flins who does not necessarily require Ineffa's presence to boost his damage, a good chunk of Nefer's more respectable damage is locked behind having Lauma in the team due to her contributions to Lunar-Bloom's DMG ratios, as well as overall CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG. This makes Nefer far more restricted in terms of team comps, and also makes investing into her a dual-character ordeal, as having one or the other highly incentivizes you into completing the duo in order to unlock Nefer's full potential. |

Nefer Ascension and Talent Materials
| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
• Almost all of Nefer's DMG will be Lunar-Bloom DMG, which in itself is a stronger variant of Bloom due to its ability to CRIT. • Unique interaction with Dendro cores by using it as a fuel source to boost the DMG of her Lunar-Bloom Charged Attacks. This also mitigates the hard requirement for a sustain unit as Nefer teams will not have Bloom core detonations in best case scenarios. • Nefer's stats are extremely streamlined as CRIT and Elemental Mastery are all she needs in order to achieve DMG that overshadows most elemental reaction teams, making her easy to build. |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
|
• Requires at least one Nod-Krai character to activate Ascendant Gleam to boost her DMG output. Lauma in particular is a near-hard requirement for Nefer as her Moonsign contribution and passives make up a good portion of Nefer's DPS. • Cannot be run with Bloom triggers like Nilou, as quick detonations will lower her damage output by giving her less Dendro cores to absorb for her Charged Attack. |
Nefer functions as a Lunar-Bloom DPS that takes advantage of both Elemental Mastery and CRIT stats to power up their Special Charged Attack while in their Elemental Skill's state.
With that in mind, her Dendro DPS build is focused on Lunar-Bloom, the Night of the Sky's Unveiling artifact set, and balanced CRIT stats.

Nefer wants to have Elemental Mastery on both her Sands and Goblet firstly because Lunar-Bloom scales with Elemental Mastery, and secondly because Lunar-Bloom is considered reaction DMG, meaning Dendro DMG Bonus Goblets will see less effectiveness on Nefer.
As for her Circlet, pick between CRIT DMG or CRIT Rate depending on which stat is more required to get you to a healthy 1:2 CRIT ratio.
| Stat | Goal Value |
|---|---|
| Elemental Mastery | 500 or above |
| CRIT Rate | 40% ~ 50% (before Night of the Sky's Unveiling CRIT Rate bonus) |
| CRIT DMG | 220% or above |
Nefer wants to have enough Elemental Mastery to ensure that her Lunar-Bloom damage is potent enough whenever she is in her Elemental Skill's state. The rest of her stats should go into CRIT to balance them out for her damage.
Her Energy Recharge can be raised to around 130% if you want her Elemental Burst to be available off-cooldown in most situations.
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd |
|---|---|---|
| Elemental Skill | Elemental Burst | Normal Attack |
Nefer prioritizes her Ascension Level and Elemental Skill level above all else, with those needing to be raised to max first. Her Elemental Burst can be followed-up after if you want to use her Elemental Burst frequently.
Lastlly, her Normal Attacks can either be leveled or ignored as she is still a Catalyst user that can make use of her Normal Attacks, but is not normally part of her damage rotation.
As with most On-Field Nod-Krai DPS units, Nefer's best choice is the Night of the Sky's Unveiling artifact set for its CRIT Rate increase and Lunar Reaction DMG increase.
Other than that, Gilded Dreams works as an alternative for her due to its Elemental Mastery increases, and Deepwood Memories is a serviceable choice for Nefer if no one else is running it.

List of Artifacts and Set Bonuses
Nefer's main stat priorities when it comes to weapons are CRIT and Elemental Mastery, making Reliquary of Truth her best weapon due to how well it specifically works for Lunar-Bloom and the CRIT DMG it offers.
Other than that, Tome of the Eternal Flow is a good alternative due to how it powers up Charged Attacks, and Dawning Frost is Nefer's best 4-star option for its similar buffs.

While Nefer's best teams and teammates don't necessarily need to be well-invested, they do need to be specific, as her Seeds of Deceit require her to have at least one Nod-Krai ally with her to activate Ascendant Gleam.
This is not a hard requirement, but lowers Nefer's damage output if she is not slotted in a Lunar-Bloom team with enough Moonsign levels.
| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
|
|
Sub-DPS Lauma enables more Lunar-Bloom procs for Nefer, as well as generating more Dendro cores and enabling Nefer's Seeds of Deceit. Her Lunar-Bloom DMG buffs also add onto this, making her one of Nefer's must-have allies if she is available. |
|
|
Support While Aino is only able to provide some Hydro DMG and application, her status as a Nod-Krai character makes her pivotal in enabling Nefer teams to generate and consume Seeds of Deceit. |
|
|
Support Kokomi is able to provide ample healing and application which results in a more comfortable and streamlined damage rotation as Nefer's survivability matters will be partially taken care of. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Yelan and Xingqiu work as Hydro applicators for Bloom teams, but requires Nefer to weave in Normal Attacks between her Elemental Skill spams to make use of their kit. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Furina is able to increase the raw Dendro and Hydro DMG of the team, as well as provide Hydro application, but cannot buff Lunar-Bloom itself. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Nahida functions as a Dendro applicator and an Elemental Mastery increase to the active character during Nahida's Elemental Burst. Nefer appreciates both of this if Lauma is not available. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Ineffa functions as a Quickbloom trigger on Nefer's team and also providing the team with an EM buff and defensive utility. Oftentimes paired with Lauma, and as a fellow Nod-Krai unit, she makes the Hydro slot a lot more flexible than just Aino. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Shinobu functions similarly to Ineffa in Nefer's team. The difference lies within Shinobu providing sustain from her healing for Nefer and making her combos more comfortable to execute. |
|
|
Support Baizhu and Kirara function as shielder options for Nefer, with Baizhu being able to also heal. They reduce the team's DPS but increase their survivability. |

Regular Bloom teams also work for Nefer due to her being able to consume Bloom cores to increase her damage. On this note, Nefer herself works as a great Dendro driver to generate Dendro cores with enough help from her Hydro teammates.
This has the problem of being unable to unlock Nefer's Seeds of Deceit, which will hamper her damage, but still keep her in a serviceable state in terms of team comp.

Nefer can also be slotted in Quickbloom teams. Ineffa and Shinobu are her premier electro sub-dps for this as their Electro application is enough to trigger Quicker and not steal Nefer or Lauma's reaction, while also providing sustainability within the team.

| C1 |
Planning Breeds Success The Base DMG for Lunar-Bloom reactions caused by Nefer's Phantasm Performance is increased by 60% of her Elemental Mastery. This effect is also boosted by Veil of Falsehood. |
| C2 |
Observation Feeds Strategy Enhances the effects of the Ascension Talent A Wager of Moonlight: Extends Veil of Falsehood's duration by 5s, and increases its stack limit to 5, as well as causing Phantasm Performance to deal up to 140% of its original DMG. When Nefer unleashes her Elemental Skill Senet Strategy: Dance of a Thousand Nights, she will instantly gain 2 stacks of Veil of Falsehood. Additionally, when Veil of Falsehood reaches 5 stacks, or when the fifth stack's duration is refreshed, Nefer's Elemental Mastery will be increased by 200 for 8s instead. You must first unlock the Ascension Talent "A Wager of Moonlight." |
| C3 |
Deceit Cloaks the Truth Increases the Level of Senet Strategy: Dance of a Thousand Nights by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C4 |
Delusion Ensnares Reason When Nefer is on the field and in the Shadow Dance state, you will gain Verdant Dew 25% faster. Additionally, while Nefer is in the Shadow Dance state, nearby opponents will have their Dendro RES decreased by 20%. When Nefer exits the Shadow Dance state or after she strays a certain distance away from the opponents, this effect will be removed after 4.5s. |
| C5 |
Opportunity Hides in the Margins Increases the Level of Sacred Vow: True Eye's Phantasm by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C6 |
Victory Flows from the Turning of Tides When Nefer unleashes Phantasm Performance, the second stage of DMG dealt by herself will be converted to deal AoE Dendro DMG equal to 85% of her Elemental Mastery. Additionally, when the attacks from Phantasm Performance end, an extra instance of AoE Dendro DMG equal to 120% of Nefer's Elemental Mastery will be dealt. All of the aforementioned DMG is considered Lunar-Bloom DMG dealt by Phantasm Performance. |
| Rating | Constellation Effect / Merits | |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | ★★★ | • Increases Nefer's Charged Attack Lunar-Bloom DMG by 60% of her Elemental Mastery. Affects both her base Elemental Skill and her Seeds of Deceit-enchanced Elemental Skill. |
| C2 | ★★☆ |
• Increases Seed of Deceit enhance duration to 5s, increases stack limit of Seed of Deceit to 5, and boosts Nefer's Special Charged Attack by up to another 140% of its DMG. • Gains 2 stacks of Seed of Deceit when casting Elemental Skill, and when 5 stacks are reached, increases Nefer's Elemental Mastery by 200. |
| C4 | ★★☆ |
• Gains Verdant Dew 25% faster while in her Elemental Skill state. • Within the Elemental Skill state, lowers nearby opponents' Dendro RES by 20%. |
Nefer's entire kit is incredibly solid even at C0, and she requires no Constellation breakpoint to get the most out of her, as investing more into her teammates will yield greater benefits.
However, getting Nefer's C1 can offer more consistent damage as the 60% Elemental Mastery DMG increase can boost her numbers to needed amounts, lowering the amount of investment needed into her stats.

Nefer's passive allows her to take advantage of Ascendant Gleam by powering up the Dendro cores that generate on the field thanks to Lunar-Bloom.
Ascendant Gleam lets her convert these Dendro Cores into Seeds of Deceit that can be absorbed by Nefer during her Elemental Skill to power up her Charged Attack, being the source of most of her damage.
| Striking Serpent |
|---|
| Performs up to 4 kicks that deal Dendro DMG with the ferocity and grace of a striking serpent. Charged Attack Nefer enters the Slither state, consuming Stamina to move rapidly forward for up to 2.5s. When the skill button is released, the duration ends, or Stamina runs out, Nefer will exit the Slither state and consume a certain amount of additional Stamina to deal Dendro DMG to opponents. When in the Shadow Dance state, additional Stamina consumption is decreased. Additionally, unleashing the Elemental Skill Senet Strategy: Dance of a Thousand Nights or sprinting while Nefer is in the Slither state will not cause her to exit the state. Plunging Attack Calling upon the might of Dendro, Nefer plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path and dealing AoE Dendro DMG upon impact with the ground. |
| Senet Strategy: Dance of a Thousand Nights |
|---|
| A dance that dissolved dynasties, as chilling as a winter's night on the great sea of sand, yet lingering with the tenderness of moonlit gauze. Nefer charges forward, dealing AoE Dendro DMG and entering the Shadow Dance state.
While in the Shadow Dance state, if you have at least 1 Verdant Dew, Nefer's Charged Attacks will be replaced with the special Charged Attack Phantasm Performance, which will not consume Stamina. When in the Shadow Dance state, Nefer's resistance to interruption is increased. Two initial charges. |
Nefer's Elemental Skill gives her access to a special Charged Attack via Verdant Dew that allows her to deal coordinated Lunar-Bloom damage with her Dendro copies.
This is her main bread and butter for doing damage as every instance of her Special Charged Attack uses up Verdant Dew and consistently deals Lunar-Bloom damage.
| Sacred Vow: True Eye's Phantasm |
|---|
| Grant "revelation" to the mysteries of the false through Thoth's true sight, dealing AoE Dendro DMG to opponents ahead. When unleashed, Nefer will consume all Veils of Falsehood to increase the DMG dealt by the current Elemental Burst. |
With her Elemental Burst, Nefer deals AoE Dendro Damage in an area with damage that scales from how many stacks she built up during her Elemental Skill.
This is used as a combo-ender due to how it scales with Nefer's stacks, giving it more value just before the damage rotation needs to be reset.
| A Wager of Moonlight |
|---|
| Nefer will be granted the corresponding buff effects based on the party's Moonsign.
Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: When she unleashes her Elemental Skill Senet Strategy: Dance of a Thousand Nights, any Dendro Cores on the field will be converted to Seeds of Deceit, and any Lunar-Bloom reactions triggered by nearby characters in the following 15s that would create Dendro Cores or Bountiful Cores will instead create Seeds of Deceit. Seeds of Deceit cannot trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeon reactions and will not burst. When Nefer unleashes a Charged Attack or Phantasm Performance, she can absorb Seeds of Deceit within a certain range, gaining 1 stack of Veil of Falsehood for every seed absorbed. When this effect reaches 3 stacks, or when the third stack's duration is refreshed, Nefer's Elemental Mastery will be increased by 100 for 8s. |
| Daughter of the Dust and Sand |
|---|
| When Nefer is in the Shadow Dance state, for 5s after a party member triggers a Lunar-Bloom reaction, Nefer's Slither state will provide additional Verdant Dew. Every 100 points of Nefer's Elemental Mastery beyond 500 will strengthen this additional provision effect by 10%. The maximum increase that can be achieved this way is 50%. |
| Moonsign Benediction: Dusklit Eaves |
|---|
| When a party member triggers a Bloom reaction, it will be converted into the Lunar-Bloom reaction, with every point of Elemental Mastery that Nefer has increasing Lunar-Bloom's Base DMG by 0.0175%, up to a maximum of 14%. Additionally, when Nefer is in the party, the party's Moonsign will increase by 1 level. |
| Conspiracy of the Golden Vault |
|---|
| Gains 25% more rewards when dispatched on a Nod-Krai Expedition for 20 hours. Additionally, as the head of the Curatorium of Secrets, Nefer seemingly has the ability to obtain intelligence from a variety of sources — intelligence that certain factions in Nasha Town might find extremely interesting... |
Nefer's knowledge of Nod-Krai and beyond allow her to gain more rewards from Nod-Krai expeditions, as well as gaining intel from her plethora of sources.

Aino
|
Nefer has a black cat called Ashru. I offered to install a translator so we could understand what Ashru is saying, but Nefer turned me down without even considering it. She said she already has plenty of information and doesn't need to hear what a cat has to say. Like, what!? Why so mean? Has she been hurt before, maybe by Lauma's translations? |
Flins
|
Nefer's intuition is as sharp as a knife, and that is a knife that no one wishes to contend with. Fortunately, I don't make a habit of prying into other people's backgrounds. I can only hope she doesn't either. |
Ineffa
|
Nefer is the head of the Curatorium of Secrets. She knows a lot of stories, not just from the past, but also about what's happening in the present — and some even say she can predict the future, too. Her mind must be a formidable database. |
Jahoda
|
Nef's the best boss in the whole world! Hehe, not only does she pay me on time, she even covers food and board! I might be her only actual employee... No, wait, I almost forgot about Ashru! Though he's not exactly an employee, right? He's never even completed a single commission! Hmph! Can't have anyone freeloading... Next job, he's coming with me! |
Lauma
|
Clearly, we are different people with different ways of doing things, but I have never taken that to mean that we cannot get along. No matter what, the light of the moon will always fall favorably upon her. |
| Character | In-Game Thoughts |
|---|---|
Aino
|
About Aino The robotic arm she made for Jahoda works surprisingly well, though it certainly didn't come cheap. Relax — I covered the manufacture and maintenance costs up front. Jahoda is my most valuable employee, after all — I'm not even charging interest on the repayments. |
Candace
|
About Candace Candace and I go back. We met when I first arrived at Aaru Village after Iosing my home. She was one of the few children willing to talk to me. We did all sorts of things together — drove off wild beasts, fought off bandits, cared for those in hardship... If that's not "friendship," I'm not sure what is. |
Cyno
|
About Cyno You've got to hand it to Hermanubis he's a good judge of character. He managed to recruited someone with a very solid work ethic to do his bidding. And the General Mahamatra certainly has his work cut out for him... the Akademiya breathing down his neck on the one hand: and a tireless"boss" watching his every move on theother... I honestly wonder how he evermanages to unwind. |
Dehya
|
About Dehya Word of kind-hearted Flame-Mane reached my ears long ago. It's not every day you hear of mercenaries willing to spend that kind of money on raising a child... And if the rumors are true, the power in her gauntlets has some ties to King Deshret, too... That's life in the desert of Sumeru for you. Things that seem completely unrelated turn out to be connected by unseen threads — and then one day, when people least expect it, the tangled web of complexity bursts out into the open. Anyway, it sounds like Dehya's done pretty well for herself. I hear she managed to get hired by a nice wealthy family. |
Diluc
|
About Diluc Master Diluc Ragnvindr is a key informant of mine in Mondstadt. I generally refer to him by the codename "Owl." As for how we met and came to work together... Well, out of consideration for his privacy, I won't go into the details. What I can say is this: working with Master Diluc is always a pleasure. At the very least... he pays promptly. |
Dori
|
About Dori Lord Sangemah Bay is a regular partner of mine. Besides Mora, she also brings me news from Sumeru — of insomniac students sleepwalking through the library, poor souls cured of Eleazar, and a Vahumana Darshan now bustling with people and showing great promise... From the sounds of it, the Akademiya is finally beginning to show some signs of life. How very heartwarming. |
Flins
|
About Flins It is often said that politeness is the most... effective means of keeping strangers at bay. I guess that makes Mr. Flins a master of the art of social distancing. He wears his etiquette like a suit of shining armor — impeccable, impenetrable. hiding whatever lies beneath. Don't get me wrong, I pride myself on being a tactful friend, and I know how to smile and play along. •But whether Mr. Flins is a Lightkeeper or a fae, from Nod-Krai or Snezhnaya, it makes no difference to me. First and foremost, we are friends, and the foundation of friendship... is trust. |
Jahoda
|
About Jahoda Jahoda is the most qapable — and frankly, the most valuable — of.the Curatorium's employees. Without her, the whole place would surely grind to a halt. Yes, stæ can be reckless and proud, but she is also brave and kind. Some might call her immature, but I see that as a blessing. After all, once you've reached maturity in life, it's all downhill from there... heh, and I'm counting on her to run my errands for a few years yet. |
Lauma
|
About Lauma Our pure and merciful Lady... So kind, so full of compassion for all. It's no wonder that people are drawn to her. Even the looal wildlife can't help but nuzzle up against her hand as they walk by... But don't get too close, or you might just wake up one day to find she's charmed you into embracing a whole new religion... Oh, I see... She's won you over already, hasn't she? |
Yelan
|
About Yelan Miss Yelan is one of the Curatorium's... No, make that the entire Northern Intelligence Network's most valued clients. Whenever she comes looking for intel, she pays up front, in cash, and in full. She never leaves me even the slightest room to cash in a favor in the future — even with the most sensitive intel, which I don't give out easily. She'll throw down twice, even three times the asking price without flinching... until I finally cave in and hand it over. People from Liyue Harbor sure know how to spend, I'll give them that. Must be nice having that kind of money... |
