6.2 Stygian Onslaught Dates

The current Stygian Onslaught in Version 6.2 Luna III will last from December 10, 2025 until January 13, 2026 just before Version 6.3 Luna IV's release.
With that in mind, all bosses resets like normal when the stages change, including a new Disturbance Outbreak State.
Once the Disturbance Outbreak State ends, players can no longer collect artifact rewards after completing a Battlefield challenge, but can still play the rest of Stygian Onslaught as usual until the event ends.

Iniquitous Baptist Strategy
The Iniquitous Baptist generates an Electro, Pyro, and Hydro shield in that order, uniformly requiring you to bring Cryo, Hydro, and Dendro units, or run a Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Lunar-Bloom teams to bypass this mechanic.
Lunar-Bloom in particular is effective due to all elements being able to pierce through the Baptist's shield while carrying innately high DMG through characters like Nefer and Lauma.
Battle-Hardened Iktomisaurus Strategy
The Battle-Hardened Iktomisaurus is an opponent capable of Shielding itself with a Cryo Shield, while potentially having its Anemo RES shredded if it is hit with its own Vortexes, making Pyro and Anemo units your best bet.
On that note, a Hexerei-focused team featuring Venti and Durin fulfills these conditions easily, with a Hexerei-buffed Venti in particular being able to pull in the Vortexes and trivialize the mechanic. It is worth noting that almost any team will do here and can get the job done without too much trouble.
Experimental Field Generator Strategy
The Experimental Field Generator demands Plunging Characters like Varesa and Xiao that can bypass its frequent and disruptive gravitational shockwaves.
Alternatively, players can use Claymore characters as they have high enough multipliers to function as Plunging substitutes.

How to Play Stygian Onslaught
Go to the Event Domain in Liyue
The event domain for Stygian Onslaught is located north of Mingyun Village, right beside a Teleport Waypoint. Interact with the ley line disturbance to enter the Stygian Onslaught challenge menu!
Complete 3 Time-Limited Battles
During the challenge, you must go to three separate Battlefields and fight time-limited battles. When all opponents in the three battlefields have been defeated, the challenge is considered complete for this difficulty level.
The higher the Difficulty, the stronger the enemies become. Each Difficulty also has mechanics that will make the battle more difficult for players.

Stygian Onslaught has up to 6 Difficulty Levels available. However, Difficulty Level 4 and above requires completing the challenge on the Difficulty Level below it.
You can still complete Fearless difficulty in Co-Op mode, but you cannot collect rewards for it.
Dire Difficulty Level 6 Rewards Only in Single Player
Dire Difficulty Level 6 also requires players to complete Difficulty Level 5 in Single Player Mode. Similarly, the rewards for Difficulty 6 can only be claimed by doing it in Single Player.
Differences on Dire Difficulty's Perilous Challenge
On Stygian Onslaught's Dire final difficulty, there are special objectives in play, as well as even more limiting conditions that make it into a true challenge for even the most seasoned players.
Perilous Objective: Complete Within 180s
In order to earn the Sublimation weapon skins, Dire has the added objective of requiring you to complete the entire Stygian Onslaught challenge within 180s.
This means you must complete each battlefield at an average of 60 seconds in order to clear this objective.
A Powerful Opponent
The enemies present in Stygian Onslaught's Dire difficulty have significantly more health and deal far more damage than even their Fearless counterparts, requiring players to be able to output tremendous damage in order to clear it.
Exalted Ones Boon Inactive
As this is the Dire difficulty challenge, any buffs that the Exalted Ones receive are not in play during Dire difficulty, meaning you must make do with the whole challenge solely relying on the strength of your own characters.
Challenge in Co-Op
If you are having a hard time completing the challenge alone, you can also invite teammates and clear the stages in Co-Op to acquire most of the rewards together!
Note that you cannot collect rewards for clearing Level 5 and Level 6 Difficulty in Co-Op.
Give Buffs to Characters as Exalted Ones
When characters are used by other players to clear Dire Difficulty Level 6, they become Exalted Ones. In Difficulty Level 5 and below, Exalted Ones gain Eminent Boon and receives additional buffs when added to the party.
Exalted Ones Refresh Every Day
There can be a total of 16 Exalted Ones at any point in the challenge. Exalted ones are revealed two hours after the Stygian Onslaught event starts, and will refresh every day at 04:00 AM (Server Time) for the duration of the event.
Choose Artifact Rewards
Players can choose the Artifact Sets they wish to receive as a reward for completing the Stygian Onslaught challenges through the Reward Settings!
Obtain Artifact Rewards During Disturbance Outbreak
For the first 10 days of the event, Travelers can obtain extra artifact rewards by using any kind of Resin after clearing any stage at Difficulty Level 3 or higher.
This is known as the Disturbance Outbreak state and will always refresh whenever Stygian Onslaught resets.

What is the Stygian Onslaught?
Stygian Onslaught is a permanent combat event where Travelers can farm artifacts. Try to defeat the bosses on the highest difficulty to get more rewards!
New Cycle Begins After Every New Version
Each cycle of Stygian Onslaught runs for 5 weeks and ends when a new Version goes live. The next phase of Stygian Onslaught begins eight days after a Version update.

Stygian Onslaught and some of its rewards can be challenged and acquired in Co-Op with other Travelers in your world, making it a more efficient way to tackle the challenge.

How to Unlock Stygian Onslaught
Complete Archon Quest Prologue Act 3
Complete the Prologue Act 3 Archon Quest, Song of the Dragon and Freedom and reach at least Adventure Rank 20 to unlock the starting quest for the event.

While it is not required, Players can also complete the Interlude Chapter Act 2 - Perilous Trail for the complete experience in the event.

Complete the Tumult Subduer Unlock Quest
To unlock the event, you must go to the Teleport Waypoint south of Sal Terrae and north of Mingyun Village in Liyue. You will automatically be in a cutscene with Yelan and Keqing, after which you have to approach the ley line disturbance for another short scene.
After completing a challenge in Stygian Onslaught for the first time, there will be another short cutscene for the follow-up quest A Defensive Strategy.
Stygian Onslaught Event Rewards
Weapon Skin Rewards in Dire Difficulty
Players can obtain two new items that allow you to change any weapon's appearance after completing Dire difficulty within 180 seconds!
Radiant Phantasm: Incursion Repeller and Radiant Phantasm: Incursion Repeller - Sublimation have slight differences in Weapon Skin appearance, and will expire at the beginning of the next Stygian Onslaught season.

Radiant Phantasm: Incursion Repeller - SublimationPlayers can receive a total of 450 Primogems for clearing Difficulty Level 1 to Difficulty Level 3. Each Difficulty gives 150 Primogems when completed.
Aside from Primogems, players can also obtain Dust of Enlightenment by clearing Difficulty Level 4. They can obtain another Dust of Enligthenment by clearing Difficulty Level 5 in Single-Player Mode.

Transient ResinAfter finishing a battle on Difficulty Level 3 or above, players can earn Dire Prestige by using any type of Resin to collect Artifact rewards. For every 120 Dire Prestige earned during the cycle, players receive an extra 5-Star Artifact.
