Tier Rating

As a Main DPS
Flins is the premier on-field DPS for the Lunar-Charged reaction, with well-defined static rotations albeit Energy-reliant for his Special Elemental Burst. While his teams are restricted to the reaction, this doesn't mean that he isn't free-to-play friendly. In order for his kit to function, he requires a Nod-Krai character and a Hydro applicator, of which Aino, who is free, can perfectly fit both roles.

For his best teams, there's not much flexibility in the choices as there are only a handful of Nod-Krai characters in Luna I that can synergize with him. Currently, Ineffa is his only requirement to be able to compete against our current top tier DPS, and can only get higher as we get better or more dedicated supports. We can expect a bump to his position in the meta once we get to that point.

Regarding Flins' synergy with Ineffa, while he doesn't exactly require her presence to cause Lunar-Charged, Flins' teams specifically wants a Sustain, an Energy support, a Buffer support, and a Hydro applicator in his team, and Ineffa already fulfills the first two of these checkboxes. If you do not have or won't be planning to get Ineffa in the near future, we recommend getting Flins' C1 as it mostly makes up the damage an Ineffa would bring.

Flins Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths
• Allows the Lunar-Charged reaction, which basically by itself is a stronger variant of Electro-Charged due to it having the ability to CRIT.
• High damage multipliers on Lunar-Charged procs as well as consistent procs allow Flins' damage to skyrocket beyond most Elemental Reaction-based teams.
• Some of Flins' ATK gets converted to Elemental Mastery, making it easier to build him with other stats such as ATK, Energy Recharge, and CRIT in mind.
Weaknesses
• Flins is a character that is specifically built around Lunar-Charged, and is thus gated to this team comp and its variations. This is further supported by most of his damage being frontloaded and even then only being boosted when he is in his optimal team comp.
• A good portion of Flins' damage comes from his Special Elemental Burst, which requires adequate Energy Recharge to consistently have it available, making him somewhat Energy reliant if you want to maximize damage.

Flins Best Builds

Flins DPS Builds

As a Lunar-Charged and Electro DPS, Flins' passives benefit having him be built as a CRIT DPS focusing on meeting his 2000 ATK and 130~140% Energy Recharge goal points, CRIT Rate or DMG, then any remaining on Elemental Mastery.

He also benefits from Polearm weapons that either improve Elemental Burst or Lunar-Charged damage.

Lunar (F2P): Genshin - Flins ImageGenshin - Sucrose ImageGenshin - Shinobu ImageGenshin - Aino Image

As the premier Lunar-Charge DPS option, supply him with ample stats and weapons that synergize with his Elemental Burst-oriented playstyle. He also prefers an ATK Goblet over the typical Electro DMG due to most of his damage coming from Lunar-Charge.

Put your focus on his ATK and ER stats, then CRIT, then any outlying substats into Elemental Mastery in order to maximize his On-Field damage. Take note that Night of the Sky's Unveiling lowers his CRIT Rate requirements by up to 30%.

Flins Goal Stat Values

Stat Goal Value

Energy Recharge 130 - 140% (Double Electro)
160%+ (Solo Electro)
Not recommended
CRIT Rate 40~50%
before Night of the Sky's Unveiling CRIT Rate bonus
CRIT DMG 175% or Above
Elemental Mastery 100 - 200

Flins wants to get his ATK to a serviceable amount like 2,000 in order to cap out his Elemental Mastery Ascension Passive at max, giving him 160 bonus EM. However, since you are using double ATK artifacts, realistically you will want around 2,500 or more.

You will also need to prioritize meeting his Energy Requirements up until 140% to reliably use his Special Elemental Burst in his rotations. Note that this is on Double Electro comp with Ineffa, and it's not recommended for Flins to be the sole Electro at C0 as he's reliant on using his Special Burst.

The rest of his stats should go into CRIT at a balanced ratio, with some excess going into Elemental Mastery to increase his reaction damage further.

Flins Talent Priority

1st 2nd 3rd
Elemental Burst Elemental Skill Normal Attack

Flins' kit revolves around his Elemental Burst, its mini-Burst variant, and the Lunar-Charged DMG it provides, and should be prioritized first, with his Elemental Skill following suit after.

Normal Attacks are the least of his priorities, but can still be beneficial if you plan to use Flins in an extended combo with his Normal Attacks.

Flins Best Artifacts

Flins Artifact Rankings

Night of the Sky's Unveiling is undoubtedly Flins' best artifact set due to his role as a Lunar-Charged DPS that hails from Nod-Krai, making full use of the artifact set's CRIT Rate bonus.

Alternatives to this can be Thundering Fury for its Quality-of-Life cooldown reductions, or Marechaussee Hunter if he is paired with Furina.

Nod-Krai Weapons Are Flins' Best

Bloodsoaked Ruins is Flins' best weapon due to how it fully synergizes with his Lunar-Charged based kit. Alternatively, Flins can also make use of the new Prospector's Shovel Nod-Krai craftable.

Otherwise, general Elemental DMG weapons like Staff of the Scarlet Sands work for its stat conversion effect and Elemental Skill buffs, or a general DPS weapon like the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear.

Flins Best Team Comps

Flins as the Premier Lunar-Charge DPS

Flins is made for Hydro and Electro teams for Lunar-Charged as his kit heavily relies on you triggering the reaction. While he can create Lunar-Charged by himself, you will also need synergistic Nod-Krai characters that can activate the rest of his kit through Ineffa and/or Aino.

While this has the benefit of being his niche and giving him a dedicated composition, it also makes his teammate choices limited.

Lunar-Charged Reaction Guide

Notable Teammates

Character Explanation
Genshin - Ineffa Ineffa Sub-DPS
Ineffa focuses on Lunar-Charged which amplifies the reaction with Flins' personal damage. She also frees up the sustain slot and provides off-field Energy to Flins, as well as Elemental Mastery buffs.
Genshin - Aino Aino (C6) Support
Aino at C6 is able to dish out decent Hydro application, damage, and can further support Lunar-Charge by virtue of being a Nod-Krai character.
Genshin - Sucrose Sucrose Support
Sucrose is able to apply RES shred to enemies while increasing Elemental Mastery, becoming one of Flins' best Shredder supports.
Genshin - Lan Yan Lan Yan Support
Lan Yan provides defensive utility and VV shred. She can also provide an ATK% damage buff with TTDS, making Flins' teams more comfortable especially if one does not have Ineffa.
Genshin - Yelan Yelan Sub-DPS
Yelan brings out solid Hydro application and DMG, as well as an Elemental DMG bonus that helps Flins keep up Lunar-Charge uptime.
Genshin - Ororon Ororon Sub-DPS
As Lunar-Charge is an extension of Electro-Charge, Ororon can function as both an Electro Sub-DPS and Battery for Flins, while being specially kitted out for Electro-Charge.
Genshin - Fischl Fischl Sub-DPS
Fischl's tried-and-tested role as a solid Electro Sub-DPS and Battery still holds its own when pairing her with Flins.
Genshin - Candace Candace (C6) Support
Candace at C6 works well with Flins in the sense that she becomes a potent source of Off-Field Hydro for Flins to proc Lunar-Chage with.
Genshin - Xingqiu Xingqiu Sub-DPS
Xingqiu functions on a similar vein as Yelan, but brings some form of damage reduction and healing while still keeping up with Hydro application.
Genshin - Aino Aino (C0) Support
While Aino at C0 is not as potent as her C6 variant, she still fulfills the role of being a Nod-Krai character, thus being able to power up Lunar-Charge.
Genshin - Mona Mona (C1) Support
Mona's C1 allows her to increase Lunar-Charge's damage by 15% when the enemies are under the effect of her Elemental Burst's Omen status.
Genshin - Furina Furina Sub-DPS
While Furina increases raw Elemental DMG, she does not buff Lunar-Charge in general, making her more of a solo Hydro Sub-DPS option and raw damage buffer than a pure Lunar-Charge option.
Genshin - Kokomi Kokomi Support
Kokomi brings both healing and Hydro application, which makes her a great comfortable option, but does not help out with damage as much as other options.
Genshin - Shinobu Shinobu Sub-DPS/Support
As a support, Kuki Shinobu functions as an Electro healer if the team lacks healing, but functions more potently as a Hyperbloom trigger, but may have trouble activating Bloom cores due to Flins' overwhelming Electro.

Genshin - Flins Flins Genshin - Aino Aino Genshin - Lan Yan Lan Yan Genshin - Ororon Ororon

Flins was made to spearhead Lunar-Charge teams as its Main DPS, being able to proc Lunar-Charge at frequent intervals and simultaneously having that power him up.

When paired with other Nod-Krai characters like Ineffa and Aino, the potency and effectiveness of this team only grows as Flins gains more access to Lunar-Charge buffs.

Not Recommended on Other Teams

Flins' entire kit revolves around Lunar-Charged and we don't recommend using him on other reactions like Overload as it disables half of his kit and majority of his damage profile.

If you must use him in the likes of Hyperbloom, make sure to at least have enough Hydro application if you're running a strong Dendro like Nahida.

Flins Constellations

Laterna Vigilis

Constellation and Effects

Flins's Constellations
C1 Part of the Veil of Snow
The basic cooldown of the special Elemental Skill Northland Spearstorm is reduced to 4s.

C2 The Devil's Wall
For the next 6s after using the special Elemental Skill Northland Spearstorm, when Flins's next Normal Attack hits an opponent, it will deal an additional 50% of Flins's ATK as AoE Electro DMG. This DMG is considered Lunar-Charged DMG.
Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: While Flins is on the field, after his Electro attacks hit an opponent, that opponent's Electro RES will be decreased by 25% for 7s.
C3 Stranger in the Night
Increases the Level of Ancient Ritual: Cometh the Night by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.

Best Constellation Rating and Explanation

Rating Constellation Effect / Merits
C1 ★★★ • Reduces Special Elemental Skill cooldown.
• Restores 8 Energy to Flins every 5.5 seconds when triggering Lunar-Charged reactions.
C2 ★★☆ • Gives Flins a special Normal Attack that deals 50% as AoE Lunar-Charged DMG.
• Reduces the Electro RES of opponents by 25% when struck by Electro attacks while Flins is On-Field.
C4 ★★☆ • Increases Flins' ATK by 20%.
• Flins' Elemental Mastery is increased by 10% of his ATK, up to a maximum of 220.

Complete Unit at C0, Get C1 For Convenience

While Flins' constellations give him an increase in overall damage, most of his constellations are more extras rather than must-haves, as he can already function quite well even without Constellations.

If you want to push for any Constellations, try for his C1 as that will increase the uptime of his special Elemental Skill, as well as provide him a way to earn back energy as you will usually not build as much Energy Recharge on him.

Flins Talents and How to Use

Flins' Rotation

Standard Rotation
Activate Elemental Skill→ Press Elemental Skill again → Special Elemental Burst → Normal Attacks → Elemental Skill → Special Elemental Burst

This combo makes use of Flins' Manifest Flame Form as his attacks will be imbued with Electro Infusion and transforming his skill into Northland Spearstorm. After using Northland Spearstorm, his Burst upgrades into Thunderous Symphony.

The combo utilizes these transformations to properly dish out devastating damage in the most efficient way.

Burst-Focused Lunar-Charged Unit

Flins' main playstyle is to activate his Elemental Burst and trigger as much Lunar-Charged reactions as possible while dealing steady damage thanks to the DMG buffs that Lunar-Charge provides him with, triggering his Elemental Skill when available.

Normal Attack

Poczstowy Demonspear
Performs up to 5 consecutive spear strikes.
Charge Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to perform a forward spear throw.
Plunge Attack:
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Elemental Skill

Ancient Rite: Arcane Light
Flins summons forth the ancient power concealed within his lamp and switches to his Manifest Flame form. This form has the following characteristics:
Northland Spearstorm
Flins summons a flurry of spears in front, dealing AoE Electro DMG and causing his Elemental Burst Ancient Ritual: Cometh the Night to be replaced with the special Elemental Burst Thunderous Symphony for the next 6s.
The base CD of Northland Spearstorm is 6s and will not be affected by other effects.

• Thunderous Symphony
Consume less Elemental Energy to unleash a special Elemental Burst. Flins deals a single instance of AoE Electro DMG. This DMG is considered Lunar-Charged DMG.
Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: If there are thunderclouds nearby, Flins will deal 1 additional instance of AoE Electro DMG. This DMG is considered Lunar-Charged DMG.
• Flins' Normal and Charged Attacks deal Electro DMG that cannot be overridden by other Elemental infusions, and he is unable to perform Plunging Attacks.
• His interruption resistance is increased.
• His Elemental Skill Ancient Rite: Arcane Light is replaced with the special Elemental Skill Northland Spearstorm.

Elemental Burst

Ancient Ritual: Cometh the Night
Flins unleashes the true power of his lamp, dealing AoE Electro DMG and, after a short delay, dealing 2 instances of middle-phase and 1 instance of final-phase AoE Electro DMG, all of which are considered Lunar-Charged DMG.
Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Flins's Skill is enhanced: If there are thunderclouds nearby, Flins will deal an additional 2 instances of middle-phase Lunar-Charged AoE Electro DMG.

After using the special Elemental Skill Northland Spearstorm, Flins's Elemental Burst Ancient Ritual: Cometh the Night will be replaced with the special Elemental Burst Thunderous Symphony for the next 6s.
Thunderous Symphony
Consume less Elemental Energy to unleash a special Elemental Burst. Flins deals a single instance of AoE Electro DMG that is considered Lunar-Charged DMG.
Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Flins's Skill is enhanced: If there are thunderclouds nearby, Flins will deal an additional instance of Lunar-Charged AoE Electro DMG.

Passive Talent 1

Symphony of Winter
Flins will gain a corresponding buff effect based on the party's Moonsign.

Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Lunar-Charged reactions triggered by Flins will deal an additional 20% DMG.

Moonsign's Teamwide Buffs

When you have two Moonsign characters and unlock Ascendant Gleam, Flins' Lunar-Charged DMG deals an additional 20%.

Passive Talent 2

Whispering of Flame
Flins's Elemental Mastery is increased by 8% of his ATK. The maximum increase obtainable this way is 160.

Passive Talent 3

Moonsign Benediction: Old World Secrets
When a party member triggers an Electro-Charged reaction, it will be converted into the Lunar-Charged reaction, with every 100 ATK that Flins has increasing Lunar-Charged's Base DMG by 0.7%, up to a maximum of 14%.

Additionally, when Flins is in the party, the party's Moonsign will increase by 1 level.

Bread and Butter

When Flins is in the party, he converts Electro-Charged into Lunar-Charged, which scales on Elemental Mastery. In tandem with his Passive Talent 2, this condition is easily satisfied as his Elemental Mastery increases with ATK. By utilizing his Elemental Skill's Manifest Flame Form, and triggering Lunar-Charged, his team deals tremendous damage.

Passive Talent 4

A Light in the Dark
Displays the location of nearby resources unique to Nod-Krai on the mini-map. Additionally, Flins appears to be able to decipher the whispers of the Wild Hunt...

Thoughts about Flins

Character In-Game Thoughts
Genshin Impact - Aino ImageAino Ah, what a fine young gentleman he is. His speech is music to my ears, like the beautiful clink-clank of moving machinery. ...Too far? Well, yeah, it's pretty high praise, I guess... But it's also the truth! And no, I'm not biased because I've been bribed with cakes!
Genshin Impact - Ineffa ImageIneffa Flins... Insufficient data. According to the little information I have, he is a member of the Lightkeepers who watch over the cemetery in the north of Nod-Krai.
Genshin Impact - Jahoda ImageJahoda I've heard Nef talk about how the Lightkeepers are a really old organization, chock full of powerful, smart people who know tons of ancient secrets. Say... You think Flins has any leads on ancient treasures? Or maybe some untouched old ruins? Uh, I'm just thinking out loud here, I'd never actually ask! Otherwise, Nef'd chew me out again.
Genshin Impact - Lauma ImageLauma He comes across as very polite and courteous, but for some reason the animals seem to fear him... I will keep my guard up around him — but since I barely know him and have no evidence of wrongdoing, I will also reserve judgment. Whenever he passes by the Frostmoon Enclave, I will share some of the daily harvest with him.
...What? His name's too long, but otherwise he's fine..? Uh... Are you sure?
Genshin Impact - Nefer ImageNefer It is often said that politeness is the most... effective means of keeping strangers at bay. I guess that makes Mr. Flins a master of the art of social distancing. He wears his etiquette like a suit of shining armor — impeccable, impenetrable. hiding whatever lies beneath. Don't get me wrong, I pride myself on being a tactful friend, and I know how to smile and play along. •But whether Mr. Flins is a Lightkeeper or a fae, from Nod-Krai or Snezhnaya, it makes no difference to me. First and foremost, we are friends, and the foundation of friendship... is trust.

Flins's Thoughts about Others

Character In-Game Thoughts
Genshin Impact - Aino ImageAino About Aino
I must confess that I do not deal well with machines. This, and not the age difference, is the biggest point of disparity between myself and Aino.
Genshin Impact - Illuga ImageIlluga About Illuga
Members of the Lightkeepers are under no obligation to stay — and many do, in fact, leave shortly after joining. Only the most determined persevere, and Illuga is one such example. It is common to admire those who display wit and cunning, but to me, determination is a far more valuable quality.
Genshin Impact - Jahoda ImageJahoda About Jahoda
Jahoda always seems to show up where you would least expect. One day, you'll find her by a scrap pile at the Krumkake Craftshop, another, you'll see her out on the balcony of some wealthy family's house in Nasha Town. She is a rapidly learning philosophy of survival... her teacher being the land of Nod-Krai itself.
Genshin Impact - Lauma ImageLauma About Lauma
Hyperborea, the bygone golden elysium... That is what comes to mind whenever I see her. Her ancient and noble lineage are no doubt as heavy a burden to bear as the stunning antlers she wears on her head, and yet she takes it all in her stride. I commend her resilience and courage in doing so.
Genshin Impact - Nefer ImageNefer About Nefer
Nefer's intuition is as sharp as a knife, and that is a knife that no one wishes to contend with. Fortunately, I don't make a habit of prying into other people's backgrounds. I can only hope she doesn't either.
Genshin Impact - Tsaritsa ImageTsaritsa About Tsaritsa
Although Nod-Krai is technically a part of Snezhnaya, you won't hear us habitually refer to ''Her Majesty, the Tsaritsa.''
...Who's ''us''? Hehe... The Lightkeepers, of course... Who else?
Genshin Impact - Varka ImageVarka About Varka
You shan't catch me crossing blades with Varka, there's simply no contest. No sword in the world has a sharper bite than the North Wind. Now, you might think that the allusion to one of the fiercest forces in nature's arsenal is pure hyperbole, but I tell you — he is a true knight, the likes of which are rarely seen in this day and age. If I ever have the chance to spar with him, it will be a sure sign that I am going up in the world.

If we look on the team dps then is the rank list: 1.) Mavuika 2.) Skirk 3.) Nefer 4.) Varesa 5.) Flins 6.) Neuvi 7.) Arle and anymore. With Columbina the Nod Krai DPS will be stronger and then is Skirk on rank 3 or 4. Flins & Nefer on SS is correct. Yes Arle & Neuvi more flex about team building and don't need really each time premium team, but for a tier list about Main DPS is also the damage important. This ranking is correct.
