As a Support Aino is a free-to-play Hydro option for Nod-Krai characters as well as other characters who can make use of her easy-to-play short rotations, especially after Flins' release. Her biggest benefit is her low Elemental Burst cost and extremely cheap investment as you don't need any for her Talents levelled up. She only really requires Energy Recharge for her kit to function. Despite this, Aino only offers easy Hydro application and sizable Lunar-reaction buffs from her constellations. However, her personal damage is poor and may get replaced in the future once we get more Hydro Lunar options. |

Aino Ascension and Talent Materials
| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
• Consistent off-field Hydro application through her Burst. • Simple rotation and low Burst cost make her easy to use. • Flexible builds with cheap artifact and weapon options. • Enables two Nod-Krai team setups, unlocking artifact and weapon effects. |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
|
• Very low personal damage and relies fully on team support. • Hydro application is slower than top Hydro units. • Best value is locked behind constellations (especially C4 and C6). |
Aino’s build is straightforward and focuses on maximizing her Elemental Burst, which is her main source of utility. Build her with Silken Moon's Serenade or Noblesse Oblige to enhance her supportive capabilities.
Prioritize stacking Elemental Mastery, as Aino’s role is to enable reactions and provide teamwide buffs.

The new Silken Moon's Serenade is the best option as she can easily trigger the first level of its 4-set bonus effect and buffs the team with EM.
Alternatives are Noblesse Oblige or Flower of Paradise Lost if another unit is already on Silken Moon's Serenade.
| Stat | Goal Value |

| CRIT Rate | 50~70% |
| CRIT DMG | 100~120% |
Aino's main goal stat would be Elemental Mastery to maximize her reaction damage and Elemental Burst scaling. Energy Recharge to ensure consistent Burst uptime.
Optional stats after EM and ER are CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG to help her reaction damage to scale a little higher.

| Elemental Burst | Elemental Skill | Normal Attack |
Aino's entire kit is based around her Elemental Burst since it's her main source of damage and pretty much the only talent worth leveling. Elemental Skill has very low damage and mainly used for particles and repositioning. Normal Attacks are best ignored if you need to save resources.
Aino's Best-in-Slot set is Silken Moon's Serenade, as she can fully benefit from its teamwide Elemental Mastery buffs as a Nod-Krai character.
If another party member is already using Silken Moon's Serenade, good alternatives are Noblesse Oblige for an ATK% team buff or Flower of Paradise Lost for more Bloom DMG.

Flame-Forged Insight is Aino's Best-in-Slot since it provides a huge 285 Elemental Mastery and restores 24 flat Energy each rotation. This makes her Burst extremely easy to maintain while maximizing her reaction damage and team support.
Otherwise, Master Key or Favonius Greatsword are good alternative options.

Aino is a Hydro support who provides steady Hydro application and strong Elemental Mastery buffs to boost reaction damage. Her kit centers on her Elemental Burst, which applies Hydro in an area and becomes faster and wider under Ascendant Gleam.
She offers little personal damage, but her passives raise team Moonsign levels and scale Burst damage with EM, making her ideal for Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Vaporize teams. Pairing her with another Nod-Krai character unlocks her full support potential.
| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
|
|
Main DPS A top synergy for Lunar-Charged teams. Aino provides steady Hydro while Flins drives damage, and at C6, Aino’s teamwide buff boosts his reaction damage significantly. |
|
|
Sub-DPS/Support Ineffa herself enables extra Lunar-Charged procs, provides a shield, and increases the team's Elemental Mastery, making her one of Lunar-Charged and Aino's premier teammates. |
|
|
Main-DPS Ideal for Vaporize setups, since Aino’s slower Hydro allows Arlecchino to consistently trigger Vapes without overwriting her Pyro aura. |
|
|
Support The best Dendro enabler for Bloom and Hyperbloom teams. Nahida’s high Dendro application works perfectly with Aino’s Hydro support to maximize core generation. |
|
|
Support A strong Hyperbloom trigger who benefits from Aino’s consistent Hydro. Shinobu adds survivability with healing and EM scaling, covering Aino’s lack of sustain. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Excellent partners in Double Hydro comps. Yelan ramps up team damage with her Burst and enables more particles for Aino, alleviating her ER Requirements. |
|
|
Sub-DPS/Support Perfect partner for Bloom comps, as her Bountiful Cores rely on consistent Hydro. Aino’s Burst uptime ensures Nilou teams remain stable while also benefiting from Moonsign buffs. |

Aino is a strong support for Lunar Charged teams with her Elemental Burst, especially when paired with a Lunar-Charged support like Ineffa.
The best beneficiary unit for this would be Flins as both are Nod-Krai characters and Flins benefits from having a Hydro support that can trigger his Lunar Charge.

Aino is a solid support option in Arlecchino teams thanks to her slower Hydro application, which allows Arlecchino to consistently trigger Vaporize without overwriting the Pyro aura.
She also provides utility as a Nod-Krai unit, enabling access to Nod-Krai set bonuses and additional team buffs.

Aino has good synergy with Bloom teams as she provides enough Hydro application to trigger the reaction.
Alongside another Hydro unit and Dendro unit like Nahida and Nilou, the team can consistently deal a good amount of damage.

| Aino's Constellations | |
|---|---|
| C1 |
The Theory of Ash—Field Equilibrium After Aino uses her Elemental Skill Musecatcher or her Elemental Burst Precision Hydronic Cooler, her Elemental Mastery will be increased by 80. The Elemental Mastery of other nearby active party members will be increased by 80 for 15s. The Elemental Mastery-increasing effects of this Constellation do not stack. |
| C2 |
The Principle of Transference in Gear Differentials If Aino is off-field while the Focused Hydronic Cooling Zone of her Elemental Burst Precision Hydronic Cooler is active, when your active party member hits a nearby opponent with an attack, the Cool Your Jets Ducky will fire an additional water ball at that opponent, dealing AoE Hydro DMG equal to 25% of Aino's ATK and 100% of her Elemental Mastery. This DMG is considered Elemental Burst DMG. This effect can be triggered once every 5s. |
| C3 |
Cake and the Art of Mechanism Repair Increases the Level of Precision Hydronic Cooler by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C4 |
Butter and Cats and the Law of Energy Supply When the Elemental Skill Musecatcher hits an opponent, it will restore 10 Elemental Energy for Aino. Energy can be restored to her in this manner once every 10s. |
| C5 |
Perpetual Turbine of Metal and Light Increases the Level of Musecatcher by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C6 |
The Burden of Creative Genius For the next 15s after using the Elemental Burst Precision Hydronic Cooler, DMG from nearby active characters' Electro-Charged, Bloom, Lunar-Charged, and Lunar-Bloom reactions is increased by 15%. Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: DMG from the aforementioned reactions will be further increased by 20%. |
| Rating | Constellation Effect / Merits | |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | ★★☆ | • Provides a teamwide Elemental Mastery increase of 80 when Aino uses her Elemental Skill or Burst. |
| C2 | ★★☆ | • Fires off an additional water ball at an opponent that deals 25% of Aino's ATK and 100% of her Elemental Mastery. |
| C6 | ★★★ | • Increases Electro-Charge, Bloom, and their Lunar reaction counterpart's damage by 15% for 15s after casting Aino's Elemental Burst. |
Aino is able to function sufficiently in her role as soon as you get her C2, as that increases her Elemental application while also increasing her damage, not to mention the Elemental Mastery buff she provides with her C1.
However, going all the way to C6 will let her amplify the team's damage by up to 35%, giving her a more potent supportive role in the team instead of being a flex unit, as well as benefitting from the Energy Recharge that her C4 provides.
It's important to note that Aino is only attainable at C0 for Phase 1.
| Standard Rotation | Elemental Skill → Elemental Burst → Swap to allies |
|---|
Aino’s gameplay is simple: use her Skill to generate Hydro particles, then set up her Burst to apply Hydro off-field while empowering Bloom-related reactions. Afterward, swap to allies to trigger reactions and take advantage of her Moonsign buffs.
Aino functions as a swap-in, set-and-leave support. Cast Skill for particles, Burst to maintain Hydro and buffs, then rotate out. She doesn’t deal high personal damage but keeps reaction chains flowing while boosting the team’s Elemental Mastery and Lunar reaction damage.
| Bish-Bash-Bosh Repair |
|---|
| Performs up to 3 consecutive attacks.
Charge Attack Drains stamina over time to perform continuous spinning attacks against all nearby opponents. At the end of the sequence, performs a more powerful slash. |
| Musecatcher |
|---|
| Aino throws a Musecatcher forward, dealing Hydro DMG and dragging her along behind it. When the dragging stops, Aino deals AoE Hydro DMG to nearby opponents. Holding the Skill will cause it to behave differently. Hold Attack: Enter Aiming Mode to adjust the Musecatcher's throwing direction. |
| Precision Hydronic Cooler |
|---|
| Aino deploys a custom water-spraying devicee, the Cool Your Jets Ducky to establish a Focused Hydronic Cooling Zone. While active, the Cool Your Jets Ducky will periodically fire water balls at nearby opponents, dealing Hydro DMG. |
Aino’s Elemental Burst – Precision Hydronic Cooler is the core of her kit. With Ascendant Gleam active, its water balls fire every 0.7s, applying Hydro about every 2.1s, similar to other top enablers.
Since her Burst scales with Elemental Mastery (A4 passive), investing heavily into EM maximizes her team’s reaction damage.
| Modular Efficiency Protocol |
|---|
| Aino will be granted the corresponding buff effects based on the party's Moonsign.
Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Her Elemental Burst Precision Hydronic Cooler is enhanced: The Cool Your Jets Ducky will fire water balls more frequently, and the water balls will deal AoE Hydro DMG over a larger area of effect. |
Aino’s kit is built around the Moonsign system unique to Nod-Krai characters. Her presence increases the party’s Moonsign by 1 level, enabling stronger buffs.
• Nascent Gleam (1 Nod-Krai unit): Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon can CRIT with a fixed 15% CRIT Rate and 100% CRIT DMG.
• Ascendant Gleam (2 Nod-Krai units): Enhances her Burst, letting her water-spraying device fire faster with a larger AoE, while Lunar-Bloom DMG gains bonus CRIT stats.
This makes Aino more of a reaction enabler than a personal DPS. Her strength comes from Hydro application, EM scaling, and enabling teamwide buffs.
| Structured Power Booster |
|---|
| Aino's Elemental Burst DMG is increased by 50% of her Elemental Mastery. |
| Moonsign Benediction: Force Limit Analysis |
|---|
| When Aino is in the party, the party's Moonsign will increase by 1 level. |

Flins
|
I must confess that I do not deal well with machines. This, and not the age difference, is the biggest point of disparity between myself and Aino. |
Ineffa
|
Housework: Aino is my family. She can piece together all kinds of machines for various functions just from the scrap metal she collects. But her proficiency with other tasks is at the opposite end of the scale. If she ever has the strange inclination to do housework or cook a meal, you must stop her before it is too late, because the consequences may be irreversible.
Questions: Aino once asked me an unusual question... Maybe it was because she noticed that I displayed intelligence beyond the level that she had predicted. In any case, the question was: ''If one day, you realize that there's somewhere else you'd rather be, should I let you go, and be happy for you?'' Detecting some emotion behind her words, I responded as follows: ''If I were ever to leave you, our home would turn into a garbage dump within three months. So I would try to make sure I returned within that timeframe.'' Looking back... only now do I realize what she was truly feeling. She was reluctant for me to leave. |
Jahoda
|
Aino's got some serious skills. No matter what I put my arm through, she always gets it working again. It's just... every time she fixes it, she always doodles on it. Says it's cuter that way. I mean, it is kinda cute, but why doesn't she ever draw on Ineffa? |
Lauma
|
She is a very precious child, but fate has not given her an easy ride. Her inventions have helped many people — Nod-Krai should feel honored to count her as one of their own. If she ever wished to come and live among the Frostmoon Scions, I would make sure that all her nutritional needs are met, starting with plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, and spring water. |
Nefer
|
The robotic arm she made for Jahoda works surprisingly well, though it certainly didn't come cheap. Relax — I covered the manufacture and maintenance costs up front. Jahoda is my most valuable employee, after all — I'm not even charging interest on the repayments. |
| Character | In-Game Thoughts |
|---|---|
Dori
|
About Dori She came to discuss a potential business partnership with me once. Hehehe, can't blame her for trying her luck... but she was just too stingy. As Ineffa put it, the amount I'd earn in one day of working for Dori wouldn't even cover the cost of two freshly baked Fruit Tandem Turnovers. Genius only works on a full stomach, y'know! (sigh) If only she was open to letting me dismantle those strange and exotic machines she owns. Maybe then we could come to an arrangement... |
Flins
|
About Flins Ah, what a fine young gentleman he is. His speech is music to my ears, like the beautiful clink-clank of moving machinery. ...Too far? Well, yeah, it's pretty high praise, I guess... But it's also the truth! And no, I'm not biased because I've been bribed with cakes! |
Ineffa
|
About Ineffa Warmth: I've made a bunch of upgrades to Ineffa since she first woke up. Line when I added that body temperature simulator, 'cause when you hold someone's hand or give them a hug, it's supposed to feel warm and fuzzy! You know what I mean? The next time Ineffa's here, let's both give her a big hug at the same time! Family: Ineffa is the most important person in my family. I'm so, so thankful for your help — not just for getting her back home safe and sound, but for helping fix her little memory problem, too. Actually, why don't you come 'round to my place right now? I'll get Ineffa to make Krumkake for you... No, wait — I'll make them myself! And, and I can make Midsommar Torte too. It's really good, have you tried it? ...Hmm? Why are you running away? I wasn't finished! |
Jahoda
|
About Jahoda Jahoda might bicker a lot with Ineffa, but they're actually really close. She was the first friend that Ineffa made. I'm not a controlling parent, so I don't tell Ineffa who she can and can't make friends with. Some friends just argue more than others — somehow, fighting it out brings them closer together. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, you know her robotic arm? It's pretty, right? I was the one who built that, although it's my student who handles the maintenance and repairs these days. |
Lauma
|
About Lauma You like her antlers? I could make you a pair just like them. Oh, and how about I make them glow and grow flowers? Or maybe shoot fireworks? It'd be a piece of cake for me. ...The Frostmoon Scions wouldn't take kindly to that? Okay fine, then I'll make some for them, too. |
Linnea
|
About Linnea Ooh, Linnea? I really like her! When I was little, she used to tell us loads of cool stories whenever she got back from one of her trips. When I was a bit older, and I'd learned how to build robots, I wanted to give her one as a gift... but she never accepted any of them. She said it was the thought that counts, and that was enough for her — but I think it was because none of them were her style. So, I'm gonna keep making robots until she finds one she likes. I know I'll get there eventually! |
Nefer
|
About Nefer Nefer has a black cat called Ashru. I offered to install a translator so we could understand what Ashru is saying, but Nefer turned me down without even considering it. She said she already has plenty of information and doesn't need to hear what a cat has to say. Like, what!? Why so mean? Has she been hurt before, maybe by Lauma's translations? |
Varka
|
About Varka Varka kept me company a lot while Ineffa was away looking for you guys. Sometimes, when he noticed that I was missing Ineffa, he'd come and pat me on the head and make me feel better. He has really big, heavy hands, and they're covered in calluses... But they still feel really warm. |

Should i level aino to level 90? A lot of people say that its not worth it at all, but her EM gets bigger with higher level, and even though her ult damage is low but its still would be a little helpful? so im not quite sure why people say its a waste?
