Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet Release

Lyney is a 5-Star Pyro Bow character and will have his own banner release in Version 4.0! Lynette is an Anemo Sword user while Freminet is a Cryo Claymore user; both of them are 4-Star characters. Their kits and weapons were revealed as well!

Lyney will be featured in his own banner for Phase 1 of Version 4.0, along with Yelan's rerun banner! Zhongli and Tartaglia make a return and will rerun together for Phase 2 of the 4.0 Update.

Lynette will be a featured 4-Star character in Lyney and Yelan's banners, while Freminet will be featured in Zhongli and Tartaglia's reruns. Both will be available at a normal rate on all standard banners after Version 4.1 onwards.

New Fontaine Region Map

4.0 comes with the release of the latest region, Fontaine! The new nation includes both above-ground and underwater maps with new mechanics, puzzles, and regional features!

The Curtain Never Falls on Magic	A permanent event where you can obtain the character Lynette for free!
Ley Line Overflow	Earn double the drops by participating during the event duration.

Along with the new Fontaine map, there will be new events including exploration events, and a clockwork and steampunk themed main event!

Various new weapons will be introduced in Version 4.0, including a 5-Star bow called The First Great Magic! Another is the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman, which is a new 4-Star sword weapon showcased in the livestream.

Alongside the new battle pass weapons, some of the new weapons introduced are craftable, similar to the weapons released with Sumeru in Version 3.0.

Quality of Life Changes and Optimizations

Multi-Layered Map Function

Players will now have dedicated maps for underground areas in all available regions in Genshin Impact! This makes for easier and more convenient navigation using the map, with indicators for surface and underground map features.

Character Selection Screen Update

Another significant update is the Character Selection Screen when configuring your current party. There will be a brand new interface, as well as unique animations when selecting characters!
