Go to Lingshu Courtyard
Silently the Butterfly Crosses the Valley is located in Lingshu Courtyard, a couple of steps away from the Waypoint in Yaodie Valley, near the Adeptus's Repose. To reach the Courtyard, simply glide down to your right, and head inside the cave just past the wooden bridge!

Chase the Butterflies Into the Medicine Jar
To chase the butterflies into the medicine jar, you must find each butterfly one at a time by solving puzzles, and defeating enemies! You can get this objective after taking the request from the Sacred Simulacra who guards the Herblord's abode.

How To Chase Butterfly #1 Into the Medicine Jar

| 1 |  From the Sacred Simulacra's position, press forward until you see a group of Fungi enemies. Defeat them to spawn an Exquisite Chest. |
| 2 |  After opening the chest, jump down the ledge where you'll see the first Butterfly trapped in some kind of giant cauldron, and a Giant Pot trapped inside a similar-looking cauldron across the butterfly. |
| 3 | To free the Butterfly, use your Adeptal Energy on the [free] Giant Pot (not the trapped one) a couple of steps across the butterfly to get it. |
| 4 | Then, place the Giant Pot on the stone pedestal beside the trapped Giant Pot to remove its barrier. |
| 5 | After freeing both Pots, use your Adeptal Energy to place them on the two stone pedestals just outside the Butterfly to remove its barrier, and free it! |
| 6 | Approach the Butterfly, and chase it into the Medicine Jar. Remember to use the Golden Carp's Leap as the Butterfly will stop midair. Once it spawns an Exquisite Chest, approach it and watch the Butterfly fly into the Medicine Jar! |

| 1 |  To chase the second Butterfly into the Medicine Jar, go back to the place where you encountered the Fungi enemies. Instead of going towards the ledge, walk a bit to your right until you see an open area with two granite pots. |
| 2 |  Approach the Granite Pot with a bunch of purple butterflies fluttering around it, start the challenge. |
| 3 |  To retrieve the 4 scattered butterflies, simply approach them one by one! The first butterfly is located to your left, fluttering over two granite pots. |
| 4 |  The second butterfly is trapped inside a broken pot, located few steps to your right. |
| 5 |  The third butterfly is fluttering above the stalagmite a little bit to your right. |
| 6 |  To get retrieve the fourth butterfly, hit the Anemo Pinwheel just past the stalagmite, and ride the upward draft! |
| 7 |  After retrieving all four scattered butterflies, an Exquisite Chest will spawn nearby. Approaching it chases the butterfly into the Medicine Jar! |

| 1 |  To chase the third Butterfly into the Medicine Jar, glide down a bit to your right, towards the small waterfall just across #2's location. You'll see a Trial Mechanism to your right, and a mural to your left. The mural is the key to getting #4, but we'll complete the trial first to obtain #3! |
| 2 |  Walk towards the Trial Mechanism to start the challenge. It will simply ask you to collect all 18 Geo Particles within 80 seconds. At the end of the trial, the Butterfly is waiting for you inside the giant, hanging pot! |
| 3 | There's a series of Golden Carp's Leap that you can use throughout the Trial, and remember to always use them to conserve time! |

| 1 | To chase Butterfly #4 into the Medicine Jar, head over the Mural from the same area as #3, and get the Sacred Simulacra few steps to its right. It will tell you that it should be placed on a stalagmite, like the butterfly depicted on the mural. |
| 2 | Although the clue says that the Simulacra must be placed on a stalagmite, you simply have to place it on the empty pedestal nearby first. |
| 3 | Then, climb the stalagmite beside it. The camera should pan towards the mural, which frees the Butterfly trapped within! As with the others, the Butterfly will spawn an Exquisite Chest which you must approach, before it goes into the Medicine Jar! |

| 1 | To chase Butterfly #5 into the Medicine Jar, use the Golden Carp's Leap located just above the mural from #4. Then, launch yourself towards the direction of the spider. |
| 2 | Once there, hit the Barrels to deal with the spider, and remove its web. Pass thru the opening afterwards. |
| 3 | As you go inside, you'll notice barrels across the room, in the middle of what looks like a deserted Hilichurl camp. |
| 4 | After hitting the barrels, a group of Hilichurl enemies will spawn. Defeat them. |
| 5 | Chase the butterfly out of the cavern, until it spawns an Exquisite Chest! |
Talk to the Sacred Simulacra
After chasing all the Butterflies into the Medicine Jar, talk to the Sacred Simulacra, and have it perform the ritual to restore the Herblord's Ancient Tree.
Investigate the Ancient Tree
Then, investigaste the ancient tree, and obtain the Ancient Tree Branch by breaking it off. Afterwards, open the Luxurious Chest nearby, and check out the butterflies beside it. Doing so teleports you to the Adeptus's Repose.
Return to Adeptus's Repose
As you return to Adeptus's Repose, look for the medicine jar mentioned by the Sacred Simulacra. It's the jar nearby where butterflies flutter around it. After slotting in the Tree Branch, it will open the locked room in Adeptus's Repose!
Explore the Hidden Vault
Once the locked room in Adeptus's Repose is opened, you can then enter it to loot it. You can open the Luxurious Chest inside that will give you 5x Qingxins, 5x Violetgrasses, and 5x Chenyu Adeptea, aside from the usual Primogem and other material rewards!
The quest will end once you've read at least one of the Ancient Texts inside! You can also place the Sacred Simulacra from outside the room onto the empty pedestal, to get extra Mora!
