Version 1.5.0 of Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket (PTCG Pocket) was released on January 28, 2026, which brought along new features and updates to the game. Read on to learn about Version 1.5.0 and its patch notes.

Fantastical Parade Release

Fantastical Parade Release Date

The new expansion, Fantastical Parade (B2), releases on January 28, 2026 at 5 PM PST. Its release will bring new Themed Collections as well as Solo Battles.

Players will also be able to trade Fantastical Parade cards upon release.

Stadium Cards Added

Stadium Cards Added
The new expansion brings the release of Stadium Trainer Cards. These are a type of Trainer card that can be played on your turn. This card stays in play after you play it, unlike Item Cards or Supporter Cards which get discarded after they're used.

Similar to Supporters, Stadiums can only be played once per turn. Only one Stadium card can be in play at a time, so if a new Stadium card comes into play, the previous Stadium is discarded and its effects end.

Stadium cards of the same name cannot be played when a Stadium that shares its name is already in play.

Random Battles Added

Random Battles Added
Random Battle is a new solo game mode where players are put up against CPU opponents with random decks. This aims to simulate online ranked battles but in a less stressful environment.

Random Battle will also have varying levels of difficulty similar to Solo Battles. You may receive Shinedust as a reward for winning these battles.

Message Feature Added to Trading

Message Feature in Trading
A messaging feature has been added to Trade. You will be able to choose from a pre-selected set of messages in order to communicate with your Trade partner. This will inform them about which cards you wish to receive.

Trading Guide

Elite Deck Gift Missions

Following the release of Fantastical Parade, new Elite Deck Gift Missions will be added. Completing these will reward the player with powerful decks.

Additional Updates

In addition to the major updates, Pokemon TCG Pocket has also added a few quality of life, animation, and UI updates listed in the in-game News tab. Some of these updates include the following listed below.

Battle Updates

  • Adjustments to the difficulty level for advanced solo battles and higher.
  • Adjustments to the Auto feature's AI.
  • A new battle stance added to random matches in versus battles.
  • A new discard animation for when Energy enters the discard pile.
  • Time to reconnect when losing network connection in versus battles is reduced to 60 seconds.
  • Play a Stadium card! has been added to the battle guide.

Deck Building and Editing Updates

  • Adjustments made to how cards are ordered when building a deck on the deck editing screen.
  • The feature that automatically selects Energy can now be toggled on and off.

UI Updates

  • Text and design adjustments.

A patch for the version 1.5.0 of the game was released on January 28, 2026.

Anyone who has the previous version of the app will be asked to download the update.
