Mega Charizard Y ex is a powerful new Mega Pokemon ex from Crimson Blaze that has the ability to OHKO every Pokemon in the game. It comes at the cost of recoil damage, however, so careful decision-making and analysis could prove vital when piloting this deck.
Moltres ex is the deck's ideal starter, because of its reliability in setting up Benched Pokemon with Inferno Dance.
This deck also runs copies of Charmeleon instead of Rare Candy, because of its Ignition Ability being able to accelerate Energy to your Active Pokemon. This makes the deck even more consistent.

Mega Charizard Y ex's Crimson Dive can OHKO every Pokemon in the game. It is important to keep it healthy with cards like Lillie, as Crimson Dive also damages Mega Charizard Y ex.

Mega Charizard Y ex Decks run multiple ways to accelerate Energy. Moltres ex is a tried and tested partner to high-Energy Fire Pokemon, while Charmeleon can accelerate a Fire Energy when you evolve into it.

A single copy of Charizard from B1a is slotted into the deck as a countermeasure to Pom-Pom Oricorio. Consider setting one up quickly if you're up against a Lightning deck.
The two copies of Charmeleon can also work as an effective counter to Oricorio as well.

Decks with Single Point Attackers and no ex Pokemon will force Mega Charizard Y ex to attack three times instead of one or two to achieve a win.
A deck with Pokemon like Magnezone or Greninja can outpace Mega Charizard Y ex decks with speed and offensive pressure.
