	The best decks are in the S tier, which are decks that have amazing consistency on top of being easy to build and function with minimal difficulty.
	C Tier consists of the game's Rogue Decks. These are great for countering specific threats but required skilled pilots to succeed with.

S Tier

Deck	Explanation
Giratina ex Deck	• Rewards passive turns with Energy acceleration. • Can choose when to go for KOs on decisive turns. • Can be partnered with Darkrai ex for passive damage on the Defending Pokemon using Nightmare Aura.

C Tier

Deck	Explanation
Lake Trio Deck	• Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf have natural synergy. • Mesprit is a great finisher but is dependent on having Uxie and Azelf on the Bench. • Can sweep Solo Battles, often knocking out miltiple missions at once
Togekiss Deck	・Contributes lots of damage as long as it attacks consecutively. ・ Synergizes with Cynthia, which is able to buff Togekiss's damage.
Mewtwo and Gardevoir Deck	・Consistent and powerful. ・Simple strategy to implement.

	The best cards are in the S tier, which are cards that will always be impactful whenever they are played. These are cards that must always be answered or else they will take over a game.
	A Tier cards are cards that are also powerful but do not necessarily centralize a game when they are on the field.
	B Tier cards are less impactful but are still worth using in a deck.
	C Tier cards are good but may have better alternatives available.

S Tier

Card	Explanation
Mewtwo ex	・ Psychic Sphere can OHKO Staryu and other 50 HP Pokemon. ・ Psydrive can OHKO most Pokemon in the format.
Gardevoir	・ Best paired with Mewtwo ex, but also viable for other Psychic cards with high Energy requirement. ・ Can fulfill role even when left in the Bench.
Mew ex	・ Genome Hacking can copy any of your opponent's Active Pokemon's Attacks. ・ Can be fully healed by using Budding Expeditioner to return the card to hand.
Togekiss	・Powerful if consistent. ・Damage can be boosted by Cynthia.
Mismagius ex	・Quick to set up. ・Can inflict Confusion on the opponent's Defending Pokemon.
Giratina ex	• Rewards passive turns with Energy acceleration. • Can be used as a battery for other powerful Pokemon with Dawn’s assistance.

A Tier

Card	Explanation
Gengar ex	・ Mainly used to prevent opponent from using Supporter cards, countering those that rely on Misty, Blaine, and the like. ・ Has high HP and can deal huge damage once set up is complete.
Hypno	・ Can make opposing Pokemon fall asleep to debilitate their setup. ・ Bulky and can be quickly set up due to it only needing one evolution.
Jynx	・ Can deal good damage to Energy intensive Pokemon like Articuno ex. ・ Efficient 1 Retreat Cost. ・ Good counter against opposing cards that need a lot of Energy to be useful.
Beheeyem	・ Can deal up to 90 damage if opponent's Bench is full. ・ Needs only 1 energy to set up. ・ Needs only 1 evolution.
Florges	・ High HP. ・ Can heal 20 damage from Benched Pokemon. ・ Needs 2 evolutions to set up.
Dusknoir	・ High HP. ・ Ability can transfer damage from other pokemon onto itself.
Giratina	・ Can be set down right away ・ If it has an energy attached, it can return to bench with no retreat cost, making for strategic plays.
Cresselia	・ Can be set down right away ・ High HP and Quick to build ・Can put pressure on early game with its 50 damage and 20 HP self-heal.
Clefable	・ High HP ・ Lowers the opposing Pokemon's attack by 30 damage during the next turn.
Gengar	・High HP, but needs 2 evolutions. ・Can put Pokemon to Sleep and deal decent damage at a low Energy cost.
Alakazam	• High HP, but needs to evolutions. • Can also damage your opponent’s Benched Pokemon if they have Energy attached.

B Tier

Card	Explanation
Clefable	・ Relatively bulky and easy to set up as it only needs one evolution. ・ Low cost attack can be used to deal chip damage.
Slowbro	・ High HP and quick to set up due to only needing one evolution. ・ Useful for stalling, but not for offense.
Gengar	・ Non-ex version of Gengar that blocks the use of Supporter cards. ・ Has an attack with low Energy cost but deals meager damage.
Mr. Mime	・ Relatively quick to set up, but better used defensively or when stalling.
Mewtwo	・ Non-ex version of Mewtwo, safer to use but lacks firepower.
Swoobat	・ Standard offensive card that can be used while setting up main attacker. ・ Can deal moderate amount of damage which can be finished off by your main card.
Mew	・ Low HP and low damage output. ・ Can reveal opponent's hand, which is helpful for strategizing during early game.
Sigilyph	・ Moderate HP and low damage ouptut. ・ Draws a card with every attack. ・ Useful during early game
Slurpuff	・ Standard offensive card that can be used while setting up main attacker. ・ Can deal moderate amount of damage which can be finished off by your main card.
Drifblim	・ Quick to build. ・Can deal moderate amount of damage which can be finished off by your main card.
Mesprit	・ Low HP. ・Can deal 160 damage that can KO powerful cards, but needs Uxie and Azelf on Bench.
Azelf	・ Low HP. ・Quick to set up ・Can attack Pokemon in the opponent's Bench, putting early game pressure.
Rotom	・Low HP, Low Attack ・Can deal 20 damage to any Pokemon. ・Has no retreat cost when Arceus or Arceus ex are in play.
Mr. Mime	• Moderate HP. • Damage is reliant on coin flips. • Quick to set up.
Drifblim	• Needs only 1 evolution. • Low cost attack can be used to deal chip damage. • No retreat cost.

C Tier

Card	Explanation
Alakazam	・ High HP, but takes a long time to set up. ・ Good counter against opposing cards that need a lot of Energy to be useful.
Golurk	・ Very high HP, but difficult to pivot due to very high retreat cost. ・ Can deal tremendous amount of damage but relies on long setup and coin flips.
Mew	・ Low HP, Low Attack. ・ Effect of attack will rarely be useful.
Uxie	・ Low HP, Low Attack. ・ Can attach energy from the energy zone to Mesprit or Azelf using its attack, but can be easily KO'd once early game phase ends.
Unown	・ Low HP, Low Attack. ・ Can check the top card of either the player or the opponent's deck, but it will rarely be useful.

PTCGP Psychic Pokemon Deck Strategy

Strategy Revolves on Setting Up to Deal Huge Damage

Psychic-type cards are able to deal a huge amount of damage to wipe out any card in a match, provided they can quickly set up their Energy costs before the opponent completes their set up.

Cards like Mewtwo ex, Gengar ex, and even Golurk can dish out a lot of damage but is held back by high Energy costs, which can be alleviated by setting up Gardevoir in the Bench and using its Ability to amass Psychic energy quickly.

Other Psychic cards, like Alakazam and Jynx, can also deal huge damage against cards that need a lot of Energy.

Can Also Be Used for Utility

Some Psychic-type cards can also be used as utility, focusing on disrupting an opponent's strategy instead of dealing damage.

Hypno's ability to inflict sleep status on cards and both Gengar and Gengar ex' effect of restricing the use of Supporter cards are examples of this.
