The decks on this page reflect the meta around the Celestial Guardians Expansion.

Best Porygon-Z Decks

Porygon-Z Deck Variants Strengths and Weaknesses
Dialga ex and Porygon-Z Deck Icon Dialga ex and Porygon-Z Deck Strengths:
• Can lock opponents out of games by making sure they can never attach the correct Energies.
• Dialga ex can effectively power up Pokemon with Colorless Attack Costs.
Weaknesses:
• Makes use of Stage 2 Pokemon, which may require multiple turns to set up.
• Mediocre damage output.

Metal Icon

Porygon-Z is a highly disruptive Stage 2 Pokemon that can deny its opponents from ever getting the correct Energy from the Energy Zone.

While highly disruptive, this deck is also highly inconsistent. It offers fun and unique lines of play that other, more competitive decks may not have. Consider trying this fun deck in Random Matches.

Cyrus can force damaged Benched Pokemon into the Active Spot.

Porygon-Z Deck Strategy Guide

Use Dialga ex to Accelerate Energy

Dialga ex's Metallic Turbo can be used to generate 2 Metal Energy and attach it to Porygon-Z while it's on the Bench. Since Porygon-Z is a Colorless-type, it can use any type of energy for its attack.

Use Porygon-Z to Change Opponent's Energy

Porygon-Z's Buggy Beam not only deals big damage, it can also change the type of energy generated in your opponent's Energy Zone. This can disrupt your opponent's set-up, making it extremely difficult for them to build their pokemon.

How to Beat Porygon-Z Decks

Defeat Porygon Before it Evolves

Porygon has low HP, so defeat it before it can evolve to Porygon-Z. You can use Pokemon like Zebstrika to snipe it from the Bench, or force it to the Active Spot with Sabrina or Cyrus.

Switch Out Porygon-Z with Sabrina or Cyrus

Porygon-Z can only change your energy if it is in the Active Spot. You can use Sabrina or Cyrus to force it to switch out and potentially regain your normal energy.
