This deck uses Sylveon ex's Ability to evolve Gengar ex faster. Once Gengar ex is in play, it can disrupt your opponent by making them unable to use Supporter Cards.
Non-ex Gengar functions as a secondary attacker, being able to OHKO Pom-Pom Oricorio. It is also able to inflict Sleep, acting as another source of disruption.

Gengar ex works both as an attacker and a disruptor, preventing your opponent from using Supporter cards. Indeedee ex is used as a supporting Pokemon in the Bench, healing its damaged allies.
You may switch Indeedee ex in to the Active Spot when dealing with Pokemon with high Attack Costs. Since Psychic deals more damage against enemies with a lot of Energy attached, Indeedee ex has the capability of landing OHKOs against certain threats.
You may use the non-ex Gengar in this deck to counter Pom-Pom Style Oricorio.

Gengar is a disruptive Stage 2 Pokemon with a cheap 2 Energy Hypnoblast, that benefits from Rare Candy and Lillie.
It can inflict Sleep, and fish for 2HKOs on unprepared opponents.
Its teammates, Sensu Oricorio and Tapu Lele are also able to lend their support through damage and sniping.
The deck is notably unaffected by Pom-Pom Oricorio's Safeguard Ability because all the Pokemon in the deck are non-exs.

![]() Giant Cape (A2 147) |
![]() ![]() • You can cut Rocky Helmet for a single copy of Giant Cape to increase the survivability of your low-HP Pokemon. |

Gengar can reliably inflict Sleep with Hypnoblast. It also deals a solid 70 damage, which can 2HKO most ex Pokemon.

Sensu Oricorio works similar to Marshadow, but only needs one Psychic Energy. It can deal a sizeable 80 damage to the Defending Pokemon, putting it in range of a follow up from the other attackers in the deck.
Tapu Lele can snipe Pokemon being set up on your opponent's Bench at the cost of only one Energy.
These two Pokemon are effective at their roles, and are always great to bench and utilize.

Gengar only has 140 HP, making it easy to 2HKO for most Pokemon.
Darkrai ex can chip down its HP, and knock it out once Darkrai ex has three Energy.

Pokemon Center Lady can remove Sleep condition from your Pokemon, readying it to hit back at Gengar.
Solgaleo ex can switch into the Active Spot for a sleeping teammate, mitigating any advantage you might have had for inflicting Sleep.
