Alolan Dugtrio ex Deck Strategy Guide

Use an Early Game Attacker While You Set Up Alolan Dugtrio ex

While Alolan Dugtrio ex can be set up easily, it has low HP compared to other ex Pokemon. This makes it susceptible to being knocked out in one or two hits. It is good to put an Energy-efficient attacker in the Active Spot while Alolan Dugtrio ex sets up in the Bench. Doing this can keep it healthy during the early game.

Skarmory is the ideal Pokemon to use as it is an Energy-efficient Metal-type. When it has a Pokemon Tool attached, it can deal 50 damage per turn.

Increase HP or Minimize Damage

You may also try to increase Alolan Dugtrio ex's survivability with Trainer Cards. The Giant Cape can bump its HP up to 150, while Adaman can decrease the damage it takes.

How to Beat Alolan Dugtrio ex Decks

KO Alolan Diglett

You may opt to KO Alolan Diglett before it can evolve. Sabrina and Cyrus can draw them out to the Active Spot, but you can also use cards that can damage Benched Pokemon such as Genetic Apex Hitmonlee.

Use Strong Fire-Types

You may also take advantage of Alolan Dugtrio ex's weakness to Fire-types. Both Genetic Apex Charizard ex and Shining Revelry Charizard ex can knock it out in one hit. Incineroar ex can inflict Burn, dealing damage over time.
